The fact that the opposition gameplanned against you is not an acceptable excuse for poor performance.

Except the gameplan didn't allow for Lattimore to rush for much. He had 14 carries. Garcia had 10.

FWIW, y'all tried to run.. TRIED. That's why he didn't get many more carries. We completely shut down the run game just like i predicted we would.

I think its the other way around. Spurrier wanted to Lattimore to run it, but then saw he couldn't against us. SO the credit for Lattimore's low production was the AU D not Spurrier's gameplan.

I'm not much for post-game bickering but, to be fair, 14 of Garcia's points came off fumbles, too. All in all, though, it was a really good SEC game and the gamecocks are going to be tough for anyone to beat this year.

SC is a game that we should count our chickens (pun)that we won. It could have gone either way. I think both AU and SC are schools that could be dangerous to anyone they play. Turnovers make a ball game and both sides had way too many.

how do you feel about bama getting exposed yesterday. Mcelroy is NOT a great qb. when the d takes away his safety net in the flat or the short dump across the middle he folds....the end.

They won't take away his safety net or they'll leave the WRs downfield wide open. You're an idiot when it comes to football, but I figured that out before reading your post, as I saw that you were an Auburn fan.

The lack of a consistent pass rush is my biggest concern. Dareus has underperformed and needs to step it up. The lack of Cody's push up the middle making a QB like Mallet take those 1 or 2 steps to the left or right was very evident in the first half. This is a very big element for protecting a young secondary because a good rush from your D-Line frees up an extra LB for coverage. BAMA's D looked confused at times. Several plays they were not even down in their stance at the snap. Good thing is they get more experience each week but will youth catch up to them against FL?

McElroy doesnt have the freakish skills that Mallet has but he is a leader that the team believes in. We are #1 because we believe we are #1. Down by 13 late in the third BAMA showed no fear of losing. Maybe because of the '09 Iron Bowl. McElroy had a bad first half and made some bad throws he would like to have back. He gets in trouble when he holds the ball to long waiting for something deep to come open. Holdng the ball not only allows the rush to get to you but gives slower LB's underneath a chance to recognize where the safety valve is. He is a leader who wins (alot).

Oh and I still think Fanin has not lived up to his hype.

Him going on the wheel route is like an automatic TD.

That seems a bit over the top.

Garcia has 3 TDs... he only had 2 in the 3 1st games combined.

I could throw for 3 TDs if I had our Alshon and was throwing against our secondary.
