Not to burst your bubble, but it's not much of an accomplishment. Not a single team in the state of Florida will make a BCS bowl. For the second year in a row.
I'm guessing someone will break the schnide next year. But it's no guarantee.

Not to burst your bubble, but it is called braggin rights. I realize someone living in a state with ~4.5 million people and 5 or 6 little sisters of the poor might not understand. But, when you have 3 title winners in one state plus 3 obnoxious fanbases, being state champs is just something to piss the others off.
I'm guessing one of the half a dozen Louisiana system schools will rise to the occasion and challenge LSU in the next 50 years. But it's no guarantee.

Hate to burst your bubble again, but this tiny state of only 4.5 million people has three bowl teams to your state's two.
That's how low football has sunk in the state of Florida.

You guys are the only team in the state to claim the "State Championship" or whatever the frick it's, so FSU should just claim it every year. Wait, they do.

Just got back.
Downside - We still have no offense. In fact, our offense should be given the MVP award for winning the game for Free Shoes. Both offenses suck; ours just sucks worse. I don't care who is the coach either, it's going to be awhile.
Upside - I saw John Brantley take his last snap at the Swamp. I would have been with it fine being due to time expiring rather than his being hurt, but at least the Brantley era is over. Good kid, but not a good football player.

Yea, congrats to ULL. Hey, FIU is in the sunbelt too and they finished 8-4. Wahoo! for the sunbelt teams! Also, last week FIU was predicted to make a bowl game, but not sure where they stand with this weeks games being played out.
But congrats to ULL and LaTech. A few more bowl seasons and maybe we will see LSU have an instate rival in the next 50 years! I hope so; so, that you will know what it is like to have a rival.
