Friday 4/30 Baseball Thread - Rivalry Weekend (sort of)

Hello SEC Baseball fans and welcome to the Friday edition of the daily baseball thread. 
This weekend we have some serious rivals squaring off.
-UK and UT hate each other no matter the sport. Maybe someday they will bring back the beer barrel.
-Vandy and Florida's coaches are longtime friends, but you wouldn't know because this series is usually very chippy.
-Arkansas vs LSU in the boot battle and 2 powerhouse programs that know each other very well.
-Auburn and UGa in the deep South's oldest rivalry.
-Carolina and Ole Miss (not rivals) may be the best series of all this weekend with OM hitting vs USC pitching.

meh, hard to really call this a rivalry. In baseball, our only real rivalry, in the true sense of the word, is MS State. Arkansas is in the group with teams like Florida that have been big programs with long-time HCs that are generally really good year after year.

Both ole miss and USC need a series win for hosting purposes so the winner is likely ahead in the host race.

Is it really even a rivalry when LSU wins majority of the time? Arkansas is not a rival of LSU’s. We win against them almost every season, even on down years for LSU

Pretty sure DVH has only 2 or 3 series win in his career at Arkansas, albeit that number will likely increase this year

It is hard to get excited to play LSU. Y'all just don't move the needle much in terms of interest. We get excited to play LSU about as much as we do Central Arkansas and not quite as much as Tulsa.

I was a little worried earlier this morning when I looked at the radar but it all dissipated shortly after. Must have been ground clutter. Looks fine for tonight.
