Since it was due to Freeze’s own actions and not some rogue booster that caused the wins to be vacated, he cannot get credit for the wins on the field.
I don’t consider Freeze blameless, but wasn’t most of it Booster related that started in 2010.

That team had Chad Kelly, Akeem Judd, Van Jefferson, Evan Ingram, AJ Brown, DK Metcalf, DaMarkus Lodge, etc. There was zero excuse to go 5-7 (2-6 SEC) with that team

Ole Miss had some injuries, but most of those were guys who had been out for awhile. There's really no way to excuse away a 42-3 loss.
Here is the injury report before that game ( Peach Bowl Injury Report), and it lists injured players got hurt. Ole Miss had 9 players out, most of them having been hurt for half the season or more. Only 3 guys on there who missed the Peach Bowl had gotten hurt after October, Vince Sanders, Laquon Treadwell, and Aaron Morris.
Ole Miss beat #4 State by 2 touchdowns with 530 yards of offense missing the same players they were in the Peach Bowl. in the Peach Bowl, "Bad Bo" Wallace just came out as he would from time to time, and the defense played its worst game of the season. It happens

The offense was never the problem in 2016.
That defense was all-time bad.

A friend of mine from Atlanta swears on all things holy he saw Bo Wallace at a bar in Buckhead the night before the game and Bo was fricked up. I kind of believe it by the way he played.

Wasn't that the weekend RN or someone in his posse was jumping out of a hotel window?

Kelly started the first 9 games. He went 4-5, with wins over Wofford, GA Southern, Memphis, and Georgia. Shea Patterson actually went down and beat #10 Texas A&M on the road.

Ole Miss had plenty enough talent on that team to avoid getting blown out by Derek Mason and a 5-7 State team. And if they didn't, that's not exactly an endorsement of Hugh Freeze. That was his 5th year in Oxford. That roster and depth chart were all on him at that point

Sounds like the stories of out players allegedly being at the casinos drunk prior to the 2011 national title game. I wanna say I believe it too for obvious reasons

That loss to Jimbo’s FSU was pretty wtf.
FSU was not that good that year, yet Freeze blew a big lead to them.

His classes were very top heavy and the defensive recruiting fell off the map after 2015. He then started hiring only his buddies on his staffs that weren't anywhere close to being qualified to coach in the SEC. The whole thing was imploding. If he didn't fired for other stuff, he would have gotten fired for his program being in the crapper after 2017.

Don't forget Jordan Wilkins, who has had a nice career in the NFL.
You realize you're arguing with the biggest Freeze supporter on the planet, right? In HJJ's eyes, Freeze is incapable of wrongdoing.

Yes it was. That Fournette game wasn't anything but him taking pitches and running untouched for 75+ yards multiple times. The holes he was running through were 4 people wide, and looking at the defensive alignment it's like they not only watched zero film on Les Miles (which wouldn't take long lol) but like they didn't even pay attention to the formation they were defending during the game.

This is not just any old friend. This is one of my best buddies. He called me from the bar and left a voicemail about drinking with Bo. I wish I still had it.

Alabama thanks y'all again for the National Championship in 2015.

The 2016 defense foreshadowed what the Rebs were to be the next few years. Forget arm tackles, our guys weren't on the correct side of the field.

There was no shame in losing to that Memphis team. Like it or not, they were very good.
Melt over it all you want.

Oh I don't doubt it at all

I think this happens more than any of us know TBH. Bowl games are just vacations for a lot of those players and they treat them as such.
