Oh yeah I am a fan, but I can look at things objectively. FSU has yet to really be tested. Don't make the mistake and think Clemson is anything like Auburn, if that is a game you are trying to make comparisons with. BC ran for 200 yards on this FSU defense. I would make a wager that our O Line is quite a bit better.

I know FSU looks lights out to the eye. but things will come into perspective soon. If you can get out of your ban bet I would do so. It wasn't made on sound judgment if you ask me. I'm sure someone will miss you around here. Hell alters abound on this site anyway.

Auburn scores 3 touchdowns a quarter, FSU scores nothing, 84 to 0.

Yeah it's what I want, what will actually happen, who knows but if everyone is going to start a thread and pull a prediction out of their arse based on what they want to have happen I might as well join in.

I'm still trying to figure out how FSU couldn't score once in the first quarter against Duke and only 17 at the half? And how JW threw 2 INTs in that game?! Duke?!

Oh right, Duke is on par with Missouri and South Carolina. No Duke is on par with a Missouri and South Carolina all star team.

No one is going to stop Auburn's running game.

All they need is to slow it down and then outscore them.

Florida State certainly has all the components in place to do it...

How do you slow Auburns running game though?

FSU would beat 2/3s of the teams in the NFL right now. Easily. It wouldn't be their 42 point average margin over ACC teams but definitely no less than half.

Great question. It's obvious we didn't have the answer.

Re-watching the game not only did Missouri get outcoached, their players repeatedly lost gap discipline - and often when they didn't lose gap responsibility, they got beaten one-on-one by superior athletes.

Does Florida State have the superior athletes to compete? I think they do. Don't you?

if FSU can keep winston's jersey clean & be able to tackle in space with success, then it could be bad news for auburn.

on the other hand, i think the "rust factor" (b/c of the month layoff) could benefit the running team more (auburn), and FSU could get caught flat-footed early ala bama against utah....

No matter what people here and on ESPN says, FSU's defense is not better than Bama's. FSU's athletes are on par with Bama's, but their discipline isn't as good (Saban is the best in the biz in that regard). We ran for about 300 against them, I see no reason why FSU would all of the sudden stop us. They haven't played against a rushing attack that is even in the same stratosphere as Auburn's

I think this is the key.

I know he's been a bad arse but he's still young. And young guys do stupid things when they're under pressure in big games - it doesn't matter who they are.

In FSU's 4 biggest games (Clemson, Miami, Florida, and Duke) he threw 6 INTs. He's not immune to mistakes

As I said in my first post, they don't have to stop you. They just have to slow you down and then outscore you. Something like 48-42, 42-38, or something similar. Missouri scored 35 with Franklin repeatedly missing easy completions and Winston is certainly > Franklin.

I'm not calling it or even hoping for it, but if y'all roll Florida State like you did Missouri you'll have earned it in spades.

That's been the gameplan for every team since we've hit our groove. FSU would be the first team to do it. Give Gus a month to install wrinkles and I think FSU's heads will be spinning just like every other team we've played on this run

I hope you do.

Honest question: What's been the best offensive team you've faced this year and how does FSU compare to them?

Free Shoes will be the best offense they have faced all year. Florida State has a deep backfield, experienced offensive line, and the best wide receiver corps in the entire country. Not to mention Jaboo and an elite play caller in Jimbo Fisher. Jaboo has four or five reads every time he passes the ball.

Honestly, probably Mizzou or A&M (just bc of Manziel). I'd say FSU is a little better on offense than both. But we made stops when we had to in every game the past 2 months, and I think we'll do it again. Like I said earlier, Winston has thrown INTs in every big game this season. If our rush can get to him, he'll make a few mistakes. Combine that with the fact that I don't see them stopping our run game very effectively, and I think Auburn wins a 1 score game

this could happen but i am not sure that FSU has a strong enough defense to slow down auburns offense. I would say Auburns defense will stop FSU enough to allow Marshall and Mason to do their thing

Well I hope you do. Y'all been on a hell of a run and that offense is good for football. Fun to watch!
