These 2 guys sharing the back field next year just won't be fair..

Said the Goretti coach: “I coached Leonard Fournette last year, and I hadn’t seen anything like him until I’ve seen No. 5.”

Yeah he's basically the Brantley to Fournette's Tebow.

They're both great running backs. We have a similar situation at Quarterback. Only one plays at a time. Good problem to have.

Exactly.

Seriously if Guice was Fournette 2.0, he wouldn't have been so lightly regarded out of HS (Good but not insane top 25 recruit good)-- put it this way Tiger fans-- Guice would struggle to break into the 3 deep at basically any elite SEC program right now- Fournette was a legitimate beast.

On the Tebow to Brantley note- we did have a guy like that but he was too busy cheating in class and stealing laptops to stay on the team.

Say what.......................?

Guice #2 Rated HS Running Back Nationally in 2015

Quite frankly, he'd be on the three deep of just about EVERY elite SEC program right now.

I hope to god this is a troll. Guice was a severely underrated player and he was a 5 star. Dude would start at any SEC football program except LSU. He may end up being better than Fournette and that's the scariest part.

Maybe he was talking about a position other than RB. Like Guice wouldn't be in the three deep at DT

Sorry, only looked at ESPN, but seriously the claim that he's basically Fournette only diminishes Fournette-- Guice was barely in the Top 50 of the 247 Composite, whereas Fournette was #1, that's a massive gap.

Guice is a big recruit- he's basically the same place that Will Grier was the year before-- Fournette is a once in a decade level player.

If you're top 3 in the composite you're basically a top 100 lock draft pick lock- like seriously unless you do something horrendous (DGB) you get drafted in the first 3 rounds within 4 years.

Guice is a decent back and will likely be a very good back, he might someday be an all-SEC back but the way LSU fans or at least the OP was talking-- they think he's already a top 5 or 10 back in college football.

Guice is the same as Fournette. Super rare. He will be a first round draft pick and he looked like he could play in the NFL as a high school senior. The dude is a physical freak with a rare combination of speed, size, balance, vision, power, etc just like Fournette. Their bodies and styles are different but they're by far the best 1-2 punch in the country. You'll see come Saturday. Fournette and Guice are both bad asses. Williams and Brossette are also future NFL players but they aren't quite as freakish as Fournette and Guice.

Could be, I mean I think Tabor is just as good as VH3 maybe better- which would mean Florida has the 2 best corners in America by a wide margin.

But if Fournette is as special as some people are talking about-- like the best SEC back since Herschel or Bo- don't you think its a bit unlikely that not only is Guice good, even future first round good, he's actually also the best back since Bo?

It happens- its not impossible- Florida in 2008 had the two of the 5 best QBs in SEC history on the roster at the same time. Oklahoma State had an NFL first round future HOF running back and his back up was a better player who the following year had the greatest season by any college player who ever lived.

But if what you're saying is true, I'm more inclined to think Fournette-Guice is like Arkansas in 2005 than it is like if Herschel and Bo played on the same team.

I'm 100% confident in saying that LSU has 4 future NFL running backs and 2 future first round picks in its backfield. I don't know how much you've seen of Leonard and Derrius but it'll be one helluva show on Saturday.

This is closest to the real truth. Guice will be special barring injury, but people are extremely excited. Enjoy the show.

Its not impossible- Florida had Tebow and Cam on the same roster- if Fournette could end up at the Tebow, Cam level.

I'm just understandably skeptical that LSU currently has on its roster two running backs better than any SEC running back since say Emmitt Smith.

Two first rounders with other NFL players I could see- that's something the SEC has had 3 times already in the last 12 or so years first at Auburn- Cadillac and Ronnie Brown + Brandon Jacobs then at Arkansas- DMac + Felix plus Peyton Hillis, and finally at Bama Ingram/Trent + Eddie Lacy and of course Miami in 2001 had like 4 future NFL Rbs or something crazy.

The crazy part is saying not that you have a possible Heisman winner and then another player just a bit off but saying you have a guy some people feel is a legend and another player just as good-- especially when outside of LSU, no one viewed Guice as someone on that level.

It's always makes me curious when people post things like this. Do you just convince yourself you are right or hope nobody calls you out on knowing nothing?

Jesus dude, pump the frickin brakes. First of all, nobody thought that Guice was NFL ready at Catholic high as a senior. That's just stupid. Second of all, as much as I'd love for these two to be the bestest running backs ever, there's a good shot that you are just an over zealous fan. Your description of Guice was almost too much.

Lastly, when LSU plays in a hard fought battle that Guice only gets decent yards in, you are making LSU fans look stupid.

Reminds me of when LSU fans go on and on about Tiger stadium to fans of other schools, as if no other school has a giant, loud arse stadium.
