You insane if you think either fanbase isn't taking an automatic playoff birth with an Egg Bowl loss.

That's the dumbest shite I've ever heard.

You know damn well, the contingent of your fanbase amongst the fat-strong would rather beat Ole Miss than anything else.

Classic OM pretentiousness.

There is not a single State fan that would prioritize a win against Ole Miss over a chance at a National Championship.

He was gifted the best defense our school has ever had, one of the best in the entire country. He completely destroyed the culture of the team and let the players run wild. This was capped off by a linebacker breaking the starting QBs jaw causing him to miss the music city bowl.

With the roster he was given and the fact that he was an "offensive genius" his results were extremely underwhelming.

Some people are better suited to be coordinators instead of head coaches...and there is nothing wrong with that. Maybe when Akron cans him he will come to terms.

So what? The guy was fired by Miss State. Would you rely on the word of Ed Orgeron, Hugh Freeze or Matt Luke to be objective when it comes to Ole Miss Football? Moorhead may be correct but get a more objective source.

bullshite. You take one look at him and tell me with a straight keyboard that he isn't bred in an Agricultural Laboratory as being the perfectly stereotypical MSU fan.

Man-tits
trash goatee
slouch
shirt overhangs beltline by 4 inches
the look of overall confusion in his eyes

He was perfectly MSU. That's the look of a Mother fricker that eats at Denny's every Sunday morning

Sounds like the QB needed his mouth adjusted and was obliged.

I had this conversation with a State grad coworker. He said that he would rather both teams lose on Saturday than both teams win. Straight face, honest as could be.

And it even played into MSU's desire to misspell billboards and shite.

He cleans up on game day. Look at the back of his neck for the full picture. More wool than a 70’s penthouse.

This guy is 4-20 at Akron and we are really gonna pretend that he was some misunderstood and under appreciated head coach?

The guy sucked at State. The only reason this did not get talked about more at that time is because he happened to be there while Chad Morris and Matt Luke were head coaches in the same division. He also lost to the Jeremy Pruitt team that couldn’t beat Georgia State. I believe UT was 1-4 when State came to town, and Joe lost to them by double digits.

State was in a very good spot coming off the Mullen era and he totally squandered it. He took a 10-2 caliber team and had them go 8-5. He then took an 8-4 caliber team with an easy arse schedule and went 6-7.

There was not a soul wanting to keep him when he was fired. He had totally lost the fanbase. Would have been a disaster to bring him back for 2020, that team would’ve gone 0-10 or 1-9 against an all SEC schedule with this guy coaching it.

I don’t think he was really given the resources he needed at MSU. Fired too early to really know what kind of coach he is.

Then you clearly don’t know your own fanbase….spend an evening with those creeps over there on “Elite Dawgs” and get back with me.

Sure, he only inherited three first round draft picks, a three year starter at QB, and like 20 returning starters from a 9-4 team that finished in the Top 25 in Mullen’s last year.

Mullen was a “system” coach so we really don’t know what the floor and ceiling of those players are…..same with Leach. Look at the talent on MSU’s roster now. He just wasn’t given enough time to get “his” guys in and run “his” system. Mullen had fallen off towards the end and that’s why he left for a bigger paycheck.

Ask yourself which coach is still on the sidelines?

Moorhead >>> Mullen

I liked Moorhead, but his offense was too complex for the athletes that he had at State, and now Akron. He is the perfect example of the Peter Principle. He's an elite offensive coordinator (at the right place) but not a head coach.

I do believe there is truth that Ole Miss made a splash hire with Kiffin and a feeler had been received from Leach. There was a window of opportunity.

Unpopular opinion: If Ole Miss would not have hired Kiffin and caused the Leach PR hire, State would be in better position now than they are.

Leach is a treasure, but not a recruiter. Arnett was a disaster. What State puts on the field this year is going to be Croomtacular. If State goes 6-6 or better, Lebby should be Coach of the Year and should be considered for every open coaching spot because he is just South of Saban.
