Too bad. He had one hell of a ride.

Sad news. He was an icon for UA and many, including myself, enjoyed watching him play.

69 is pretty young, was it anything specific?

I can't really form my own opinion because of age but most older fans and players will tell you that he is a major hall of fame snub. RIP

I hate to hear it.
Damn

I was fortunate enough to meet him several time when I was a teen. He was always willing to take a picture or signing an autograph or just shoot the shite with anyone that walked up.

Also ran into him after the 2007 IB...just walking in a parking lot outside JHS with a 20ish smokeshow on each arm

RIP Snake

He should be in, but he always seemed to get some bad press whenever he was seriously being considered. He tried like hell to get in and I imagine he will posthumously

He didn't have the stats. 198 TD and 222 interceptions. 75.3 QBR is barely top 100. Matt Ryan has thrown for more yardage in 7 seasons than Stabler did in 15 seasons.

You won't found any QBs from those times that put up those numbers. Different game then.

Damn. I had hoped this was on of those rumors.

And the game was way different back then. Stabler was quite possibly THE iconic Raiders QB.

Namath is still with us. Some people luck out, some people don't, I guess.
