Forget FSU not getting in

I’m more bothered by the fact that they straight up lied about their process and contradicted themselves with the bama pick to get FSU out. So ok I’ll give Bama credit for beating Georgia and winning by three points. Any given day any team can beat any team, happens all the time in college football and the NFL…….But if your excuse to keep FSU out is that there are not one of the best 4 teams then you absolutely have to put Georgia in the final 4 based on the decision and rationale to put bama in. No one can say with a straight face and not be a complete liar that they think Michigan, Washington and Texas are all better teams than Georgia. And why I mean by that is on a neutral site Georgia would be favored against all three. The NCAA is a fricking joke

Just so I follow your logic ... you think it's better if two 1-loss teams get in over FSU than just a single 1-loss team?

My logic is following ESPN’s logic they used to put Bama in. Do you think Washington is a better team than a team that was #1 all year and lost by three points to a playoff team? You know the answer

Thats not at all what his point was.
If the goal of the committee was to put the "4 best teams in" why did they leave UGA out? Do you think any of them honestly believe that UGA isnt one of the 4 best?

Because everybody figured Texas was in, and we knew Florida State should get in over Alabama. But of course you knew that already.

There’s not a single person in the country, not even in Tallahassee, who believes FSU is one of the 4 best teams in the country.
Who they put in front of them is largely irrelevant, but I agree to an extent - having UGA ranked behind them is laughable on so many levels.

They thought so lowly of FSU they had them ranked #4 going into championship weekend after the Florida game they coulda dropped them then. All they did was win their game against all odds, and the media did their thing for Bama. Their logic they used is pathetic, the best team in the NFL don’t always win the Super Bowl

Can’t believe people literally can’t or won’t read the CFP published protocals. Yes they are picking the 4 best but they have establised factors they consider in doing so. It’s not just willy nillly. It’s crystal clear they considered that cluster of teams including Texas, Alabama, FSU, and Georgia to be close/comparable. When that happens they consider conference championships, strength of schedule, and head to head if applicable. Applying those to Texas, Alabama, FSU and Georgia you clearly end up with the teams in that exact order. Georgia loses out to FSU bc Georgia is not a conference champion.
If people would actually read the protocal and apply some simple logic you might not be so irrationally bent out of shape about this.

What is your argument with Texas? They beat BAMA bad in their house. It wasn't just that they beat them by 10 points, they took the ball with 7:30 left on the game clock, ran it down their throats at will for 7 minutes, ran out the clock, and took a knee. That's a total butt whooping.. No way they could put BAMA ahead of Texas, and BAMA shouldn't have made it in the final 4 over FSU. But, no way they would leave SEC out.
