As long as Sumlin is the coach, you guys will continue to break the scoreboard. However, players like Manziel are once a decade type guys. You can't coach speed, quickness, and most of all his super competitive nature. That guy lays it all down on the field.

We should all pause for a moment and take in what just happened; Auburn, Alabama, and A&M fans briefly united to tell the guy he's a fricking idiot...I feel like chanting "SEC SEC SEC"

Okay, moment over.

Beyond a certain level of program resources, it all comes down to coaching. You guys had the same players before Sumlin, didn't you?

Only six programs in the SEC have had top-tier success in the recent past. Everybody in the conference has had awful stretches. Bama's gone 3-8 in recent memory. Georgia's been 4-7. LSU and Florida can be awful too. You gotta have the coach who can put it all together. You have that guy right now.

Not sure if this point has already been made, however, all those highly recruited QBs that came in and were duds in the SEC have one thing in common.

They didnt have Kevin Sumlin to build a system around them. I dont think Sumlin is leaving College Station. He finally has him and his teams recruits coming in.

Kyle Allen is apparently a more polished Case Keenum... which means Sumlin is drooling at the mouth to get a hold of this kid.

ETA: If we lose Sumlin (dont think it will happen) it will be interesting to see which direction we go with a new hire, either offense/defense minded coach.

You don't seem to understand that JFF is the only thing keeping your program afloat.

Goes to show what poor offensive coaching does to waste talent.

He probably would have been a stud under Cameron.
