1989: Aggies 28, LSU 16
1991: Aggies 45, LSU 7
1992: Aggies 31, LSU 22 (in Death Valley, Jr)
1993: Aggies 24, LSU 0
1994: Aggies 18, LSU 13 (in Death Valley, Jr)
1995: Aggies 33, LSU 17

Why did the annual series abruptly end? LSU. They paid us $100,000 to not beat them each SEP.

quote:

The story of why the series ended can really be summed up in one word: money. “I inherited a 10-year contract with LSU and Texas A&M, which is unusual. You don’t see that a lot,” explained Joe Dean Sr., LSU athletic director from 1987-2001, in a recent interview. “What happened, and I was responsible for it to be honest, was we went from seven league games to eight league games,” Dean continued. “And it put a strain on us when we had to go there (to College Station). We needed that extra home game for financial reasons.” Dean went on to explain that LSU, which cut the contract off with two years remaining, had to pay $100,000 to do so. He also lamented the death of the A&M rivalry, but added that his was a common predicament in the early-nineties with conferences changing and taking shape.

For contrast, I’m embarrassed if anyone brags about South Carolina beating clemson five years in a row at this point.

And that was 2009-2013

Haha you’re not supposed to look at it that closely!

But since you did, that was a 17-8 loss for us in Death Valley Jr while we were on probation.

Good looking out.

Nobody’s bragging. History, no matter the subject, is important.

You're referencing a 7 year period when LSU averaged 4.5 wins per season. It was the worst era of LSU football since the 50s. In contrast the Aggies were winning nearly 9 games a year in that period which is arguably the pinnacle of Aggies success on the gridiron. In the last 21 years you've had one 10 win season. Bravo!

Go ahead and enjoy a bygone era because you sorry fricks are 1-8 in your last 9 attempts.

And you still are not our rival.

Historically,

LSU has the better football program than A&M.
LSU has the better basketball program than A&M.
LSU has the better baseball program than A&M.

But we get it. LSU went 15-0 and won another national championship. You are deeply jealous so therefore you have to brag about a game that happened 30 years ago. Ok.

This is why A&M joined the SEC. They ran away scared from big brother Texas.

Aggy is such a shite athletic program they’re living off wins from 30 years ago that occurred during the worst stretch in LSU football history.

LSU leads that series 34-21-3 including 8-1 in the last 9 meetings. A&M made cups and rings for their only victory vs LSU this century. It was the biggest win any of their life’s lol.

Thanks for the reminder about games 30 years ago.

Y’all should look into this. You could avoid your current annual loss after thanksgiving. Plus it wouldn’t look as pathetic if you kept talking about the 90’s if LSU wasn’t beating that arse every year in the present

Love how you conveniently left out the LSU victories in 1986,1987,1988 and 1990. Likewise, you left out the all time series record of 34-21 in LSU’s favor. You people really are delusional.
