What kind of stats would’ve been impressive to you? He had 4 easy drops. I’m not talking about the ball hit fingertips. I mean he hit wide open WRs and they just missed it. Those 4 drops would’ve given him over 60% completion and 220+yds. Kid’s been on campus for 3 months.

y'know, I was pretty frustrated by the passing game when I watched it live; thought "here we go again".
Watching that video showing his passes, I'm more encouraged now. No, he doesn't have a cannon. No, I don't think he's got much chance to play at the next level physically.
But he was under duress a lot of the game, throwing to a bunch of guys he's just getting used to. And he was pretty accurate on those passes. The throwaways under pressure were obvious, and he made a couple bad passes (2, I think) that could have been picked off. But the rest should have been caught- they were where they needed to be. Not high, not behind, not in the dirt- they were right where they needed to be. We had guys juggling easy passes all night.
If the WRs get their shite together, I think he's going to have a great season for us.
