Like y’all wouldn’t throw a shite fit cause the SEC put you back in Big 12 with Texas/OU/Missou type pod? Get the frick out. You want your own identity fair enough. You ain’t getting it in any pod with UT/OU aggy.

All I can say is, that is not what it appears to be like on this thread so far. Not saying y’all don’t want to play Texas every year, but honestly I was expecting to see it overwhelmingly a hard “yes” from TAMU fans, and so far that isn’t the case.
All I know is, Bama has had our number over the past 10yrs, including a title we had a chance to win. But all I know is, as tough a game as it is for LSU year in year out, I still want to play them every single year. If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best.

I want LSU and Arkansas every year. We came to the SEC to rekindle these rivalries.
I would prefer to also play Texas every year. But since they ended our rivalry for a decade over a temper tantrum, they can be 3rd priority IMO. Wouldn't feel right to dump Arky or LSU just because UT decided to show back up.
So ideally, LSU, Arkansas, and Texas every year. However the schedule can work to make that happen is OK with me.

Yeah this thread is an outlier but the majority of the posts the past few days have been for playing Texas.

Just my 2 cents but I don’t know if it would be beneficial to put all former swc teams in the same pod. You kind of alienate the newest members to the conference.
It would be like having a small b12 in the sec.
Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma and Missouri is as far as I would go. I don’t want aTM, Texas Oklahoma and Missouri.

I'd prefer Arkansas, LSU and Texas. Those are the teams with whom we have the most history.

Look I agree most all of y’all want to play Texas annually but it would also come with OU and all I’m saying is there is no way Aggie will want to be in that pod with those two teams gang banging you guys again and/or clowning on you as we know you best. Either way the rivalry must continue somehow but it won’t come at the expense of the red river shootout. I think aggy will have a choice of UT/OU pod or play Texas every other year. I think we all know aggy decision there.

We’re used to playing LSU & Alabama every year - we’re not worried about fricking teams that frequently lose to Kansas State, Iowa State, and TCU. Lmao.
As if playing OU instead of playing UGA or Florida or Auburn instead is so much more difficult.

LOL at all of this. We've been playing teams like Bama, LSU, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and Clemson regularly for the last decade. And smoked OU by, I don't even remember how many TDs, the last time we played them. 4+? We ain't scared of either of your mid-major programs. It's not 2008 anymore.

You are correct. We are toxic and don’t play well with each other. Arky/Texas/OU/Aggie would be amazing from a rival standpoint but I don’t see it happening. Some old annual SEC rivalry games will be gone too but from the outside looking in I think this league will be able to do what’s right by the league as a whole and make it work.

PODs make it hard to keep all the rivalries and keep everyone happy. You'd have to find 4 teams that all want to play the other 3. That wont happen.
