They're going to eventually have to drop the farce of "student athlete" and "4 year college degree." This will be a professional league. If the 4 year part matters it is only because that will be the length of some kids' contracts.

It’s never been about academics…it’s always been about football!

Being a blue blood is not about "what have you done lately" it's about historical performance and winning tradition. I know the meaning has gotten warped in the 1 blue blood SEC, but we're here to change that.

LSU, Georgia, Florida, etc can never become blue bloods.

Stop, your stupidity is showing. You couldn't even change that in your weak conference you are bailing on but you think you are going to come here and do more. Guaranteed that LSU, GA and FL wipes the floor with your "blue blood" team.
You are not changing anything but another win for your opponent.

Why? Because you're scared that Bammer is finally going to lose a recruiting advantage?

Guess that's what happens when a conference only has 1 blue blood. Now you've got 3.

For the same reason I don't enjoy the NFL - it's not college football.

Sounds like people trying to craft a narrative that gives them more money and job security.

I think the top tier pushes to 100-105 scholarships and do away with limits.

I like this, but I want a hard cap on scholarships. 25 a year. No back dating/qualifying none of that bull shite. Transfers count against that years recruiting class.

If you have 4 years of nobody leaving early, great, you have 100 guys. You have 30 leave one year? Max you have is 95 because you can only have 25 new players on your roaster any one year.

Good luck with that.

Pods are definitely coming along with 9 conference games.

Shitty idea if they do the rotation mentioned above. Do you really think Oklahoma fans want to come to Columbia SC every 4 years? I know we have no interest in going there every 4.

The one way pods work is if you play your own 3, have a permanent opponent in each of the other 3 pods and rotate between the other 3 teams in those pods.

Any proposal that eliminates the DSOR, Bama-Tennessee, Bama-Auburn, Florida-Georgia, and/or Florida-Tennessee would get rejected by the schools.

Let’s be honest, Texas fans aren’t clamoring to go to Vandy or KY or SC every 4 years and none of those fanbases want to go out there every 4 years. Once every 8 years is right.
