If the deck is truly stacked as we think it is, Arkansas could come out with a win. We need this badly.

In the Razorbacks' 34-6 victory over Tulsa, Cramsey called for Jackson to roll to his right on four snaps. The junior went 1 for 2 with a two-yard completion to Cam Settles. On the the other two plays, Jackson tucked the ball and ran twice for seven yards for Arkansas (2-2).

The formula didn't have any success against Georgia or Utah, but it's still in the Arkansas scheme. Cramsey explained some of the logic during his weekly press conference on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

"You'd like to go to a strong side, but (Jackson) is comfortable with going to that side. There is a little bit tendency-breaking to do that, to show you can do that," Cramsey said. "But he has no issues going that way and throwing that way."

So far, the maneuver isn't fooling defenses. Arkansas rolled Jackson to his right on back-to-back plays in the second quarter, with both snaps including a slight play-action. The first resulted in a run for two yards, and the second ended with an incompletion to Ty Lockwood. The throw was into double coverage and flew out of bounds.

Still, Jackson provided his best statistical game of the season in the win over the Golden Hurricane, throwing for 309 yards and racking up three total touchdowns.

Cramsey saw development outside of the stat sheet

"You saw a couple times on Saturday (Jackson) made it through his fifth read, which is a huge step for a quarterback playing the game," he said.

With Jackson feeling more comfortable in the pocket, Cramsey said the offense could continue to elevate if he is protected by the offensive line. Texas A&M's defense ranks 119th nationally with one sack per game.

Thank you for posting all this.

Calling out the 5th read is nice. So many people love to say a QB cant read a defense or is always throwing to his first read but in reality the vast majority have no clue what his reads are on any given play.

Man, I really, really wish I could get into that whole spectacle. It just falls flat for me when compared to the product on the field and what the PTB have allowed are program to become.

If we pull off a win Saturday night, I’ll have a glimmer of hope. Until then, I still believe 2-10 is our future and much more unrest as the losses pile up. We shall see. Go Hogs.

Take solace in the fact that we’re a no debt program.

It is.

Nothing we can do about it.
