Watched The Junction Boys, again, last night then did a little research.
Junction happened in August of 1954. Afterwards, the team was depleted in numbers and went on to a 1-9 record. The lone win was the 4th game of the season @ Georgia with 46,000 in attendance (6-0 score).
1955 saw The Aggies go 7-2-1 finishing the season ranked #17 in the AP.
1956 saw The Aggies go 9-0-1 finishing the season ranked #5 in the AP.
1957 saw The Aggies go 8-0 and ranked #1 when it began to leak out that The Bear was heading back to Bama. Finished the season 8-3 and ranked #9 in the AP.
In all his years of coaching, The Bear only had one player win the Heisman….John David Crow in ‘57.

You're not a football fan if you've never saw 'Best of Times' with Robin Williams and Kurt Russell.

American Underdog- Kurt Warner story is a great watch. And it's almost 100 percent true. Messed with the timeline a little, but most of the interactions he had with coaches and the story of he and his wife are very accurate.

Shame nobody mentioned North Dallas 40. The quintessential football movie.
