Florida State & Florida trying to get high schools to change logos

What do yall think about that? I personally think its retarded. Florida State has even recruited kids from this high school. And now Florida is attacking a local school. I hope LSU doesn't have any part with going after schools that try to resemble them such as Lutcher & St. Martinville. Seems to me, the college should take pride in that.

What school is Florida going after? I know Fischer is the Gators but they use P&G.

There is a school in Louisiana called the Crimson Tide.
It is Minden High School about 30 minutes up the rad from Shreveport.

There was a school in West Tennessee that used the Colonel Reb logo. The Ole Miss legal department sent the school a cease and desist letter a couple years back telling them to quit using the logo.

St amant paints a gator head just like floridas on their field and also uses the same lettering on their helmets.

Well if we aren't going to use our own logo we need to give it up. It's like a 5 year old who want let his younger brother play with a Tonka truck...even though he wants nothing to do with it.

When my high school changed its name and mascot to the Bulldogs, Mississippi State threatened to sue for using the strutting Bulldog logo.

They must have over-looked Christian County High School in Hopkinsville, KY. They use Col Reb and the very same colors.

There is a high school in Lake Butler florida call UNION HIGH SCHOOL and they copy LSU to the letter---emblem , uniforms, school colors-the works.

Hattiesburg High School in MS copies LSU completely.

That's just stupid! Why would they want to even come close to pissing off any High School in the State. I actually think it is a compliment.

I'm not an IP lawyer but my understanding is that you have to take steps to enforce your intellectual property rights in cases like these or you lose/waive them.
