Don't blame Muschamp at all. He suspended them for the Idaho game. Whether that game ended up being played or cancelled for reasons beyond Muschamp's or the players' control is irrelevant. Punishment served and time to move on.

The players went on the field for the game. The suspended players were not dressed.

They were supposed to miss the Idaho game and all prep for that game. To sit out for the E Mich game as well pushes 2 weeks sitting out...if you can't understand that, I can't help you.

yeah, because miles is so soft. he's as good as anyone about being fair and just. but the low information crowd doesn't know because they listen to whatever the shock jockeys are spewing.

How ironic. I'm sure you can tell us about how Jalen Mills was disciplined after his ARREST this summer.

Personally I could care less. that is a Florida issue and how they want to handle it is ok by me.

However, at the end of the year, Florida will be able to say they played 11 games. If they played 11 games, which of the games did the players miss?

AGAIN. I am not sure why any other fan base really cares. It does not affect anybody else. I just found the aguements being made to be odd.

Shoot....for a Georgia fan to be critical would seem to be odd to me.

this is like auburn fans trying to explain cam's innocence

The NCAA said it found no major violations committed by Auburn regarding Cam Newton or other pay-for-play allegations and has concluded multiple investigations of the football program.

The NCAA released a statement Wednesday saying it has closed its 13-month investigation into Auburn's recruitment of the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback, whose father shopped his services to another school for up to $180,000.

The investigation hovered over the program during the Tigers' national championship run.

The NCAA also cleared Auburn in allegations by four former players that they received payments during their recruitment or careers.

The NCAA notified Auburn of the decision Tuesday in a letter from associate director of enforcement Jackie A. Thurnes. Auburn released it Wednesday.

Who did Tennessee suspend for their first game?

you can play these semantics but, Idaho was just the name on the jersey for the first game. the plain meaning of suspension for a game is for a game, not a particular opponent and such an argument is plain childish

That's a fact. Muschamp said they were suspended for the first game.

It's almost as if Florida is putting football ahead of building character??

Shocking. Just shocking.

They didn't practice, weren't included in any team functions for the week, didn't travel to the team hotel, and were generally ostracized for the entire week. For violating a team rule. It's not like they punched someone in the face and it was caught on video.

well the Idaho game of course. never mind that it wasn't played. some punishment. oh wait, they didn't "dress out" or prep for the game.

now, coaches can just say that a player is suspended from a scrimmage or a practice or a team meal. maybe they can't ride the team bus and have to find their own way to the game.

the gator crew on the rant is normally one of the better crowds. this episode is disappointing.

I see the hook.

Under Muschamp, UF had very little offseason issues. How was the offseason for TAMU?

So that would have been a 1 game suspension at Florida?

I didn't realize the bar was set so high for a 1 game suspension at Florida.

Yikes...

you can't be serious. "don't look at him, he's suspended."

look, the spirit of the suspension is to miss a game, not all of the prep. muschamp said they were going to miss the game then reversed what he said. it's simple and absurd

why do infantile people keep bringing this up? every team has players who make bad decisions. did miles not handle the situation well?
