Are we to believe that nobody else in the NCAA has used PED's? Does nobody else test?
For the third freaking time, this WAS NOT A UF TEST. This was the NCAA coming in and doing their own random test. When you fail one of them, you are out for a calendar year. The NCAA does only a few test a year for each school

So it's ok for regular joes like us to take any over the counter product but not athletes who demand far more out of their body than we do can't take stuff that is legal to be sold over the counter. Makes perfect sense.

It's BS but a little more understandable when this happens to pro athletes, but a 19 year old kid takes something legal he got off Amazon and he's done for the year?

Seriously, frick the NCAA, frick not paying players but requiring them to have a perfect understanding of a 10,000 page rule book.

You really believe that he just got something over the counter and took it without knowing what was in it?

This is a calendar year suspension.

So Grier won't be eligible for the LSU game next year either.

I don't know you can actually credit Mcelwane with taking the high road here. Florida was obligated to immediately suspend him when they become aware of an athlete taking a banned substance. Failing to act could have put them in a position for severe sanctions if it came to light. Apparently, UF has appealed to the NCAA to have Grier reinstated

Dumb decision by this kid. Obviously the NCAA's rules are dumb a lot of the time, but just because they are doesn't mean you should break them. These kids know better than to put anything in their body without having it approved.

It hurts your heart to see him get caught for doing something against the rules?

If he was black and played on the defensive line, EVERYONE would be saying tPOS.

Sucks to be a Florida fan for sure, but at least you aren't Arkansas or TN this year. Yall still have a great chance to win the division. LSU was probably gunna beat that arse anyway.

He deserves to get suspended if he's going to cry like a baby. Maybe he'll grow some balls.
