and you think Ole Miss has more money than Florida?
Overall, no. But at the moment Ole Miss has a top 10 NIL collective while by all accounts Florida's needs an overhaul.

quote:I think you are right about it being about the portal and money but don’t fully agree about location. The Disney gators view of 2005 landscape of recruiting is out of date as you correctly pointed out, and that’s why they waved their Pom poms for Billy Gaypier because he as solely focused on that approach.
Welcome to modern college football
But 2 of those 7 teams in the list are schools in Florida, ACC schools at that.
The main issue and why Florida isn’t a destination school is the UAA is fully of retards and the Disney gaytors are so gay, particularly big boosters like Gary C and KC Gaytor.
But those aspects can be changed, and while having private jets can get access to more recruits than ever, it can’t be fully discounted being able to drive down the road and hit up a bunch of recruits in person.
UF needs to modernize its approach big time to become a destination school, or a good job, whatever you want to call it.
At the same time geography, while not the advantage it used to be especially without the right organizational infrastructure, still can be a major asset and not totally overlooked

Would ole Miss have the same nil juice if Matt Luke was still HC? I would bet against it. But lane actually being a good and exciting coach has been able to rally the troops and get the program going

How the hell is he Dan Mullen? Please explain. Would love to hear how Lane and Dan are alike..note if includes most offensively minded coaches...not a very good argument.

This is a solid point. It still Carries weight to certain recruits. Can’t deny that. Now add in the NIL and you got a homerun

To present the data on estimated funding available from NIL Collectives we rely on data from multiple sources as well as certain assumptions regarding the data. Unlike public Universities, virtually all NIL Collectives are privately controlled and have no obligation to publicly report information such as their annual fundraising or how funds are spent. Additionally, most NIL collectives are very protective of their funding.
Accordingly, our estimates are not what specific collectives receive in contributions. Instead, we are providing what we believe to be a reasonable estimate of funding a collective(s) supporting the school might be expected to generate in funding, given the school’s historic level of support from boosters.

tl;dr That article has no clue what each school is spending or collecting (and the article is estimated spending, not collecting). The source admits that they're purely guessing.
It's basically worthless but 247 gets clicks for ads for writing those kind of articles.

It absolutely wouldn't be as good. But to get a collective running at full steam takes 18-24 months. Since Urban no Florida coach has survived 4 sessions.
So let's say Kiffin goes 6-6 year 1 and 7-5 year 2. In a 9 game SEC that feels realistic. How much of that money is going to remain committed? Or will the boosters start thinking about the next coach already and not follow through on all those 7-8 digit commitment amounts?
It's a tough spot to be in - you need success to raise NIL money, but it takes time to raise the money and get an effective NIL and may well cost whoever the next coach is their job while the collective fully gets up to speed.
Florida should be a premier job, but they are behind the 8 ball when it comes to modern college football

It has potential to be a top tier job with the right strategy and personel but is bottom tier because the UAA is gay and our bull Gator boosters are a bunch of pussies who want a nice guy coach to kiss their butts because all their citrus money is going up in flames

If it’s so simple why can’t mighty Florida forgive it out?
Ole Miss is one of the best NIL programs in the country and has been from day 1 because we didn’t fight it and try to pretend it was still 2005.

Why don't you have more wins on the field? Remind were you've been ranked the last 5 years? Even at our lowest(which we are now) we can still beat Ole Miss. Napier is terrible, but even he can beat your below average program.
