I'm saying how you use stats in your argument, while the other Gator says "stats don't tell all".

Florida's defense is so dominant (shown by those stats) that they're not going to have as many opportunities to get sacks as USC.
Seems pretty simple.

I should of said *Those stats. I was referring too the stats posted by the USCe fan earlier. Was typed incorrectly.

Let's look at the facts.
Florida has 4 sacks and 19 TFL in 164 plays.
South Carolina has 10 sacks and 28 TFL in 210 plays.
If you go bye Sacks/TFL per play it is more even of a stat:
Florida: 1 sack per 41 plays and 1 TFL every 8.63 plays.
South Carolina: 1 sack per 21 plays and 1 TFL every 7.50 plays.
If we take a base of 200 defensive plays that would put the two programs at:
SC: 9.52 sacks/26.67 TFLs
UF: 4.88 sacks/23.17 TFLs
And then couple that with the fact that UF is giving up a lot less rushing/passing yards per play and UF's DLine looks more impressive.

Miami's offense isn't on UGA's level, but it's still pretty good. Toledo can put up points.
But, yeah, Tennessee sucks.

You're right. It only took UGA 17 points to beat you're anemic offense. I can't imagine SC needing to score much more than that to beat UF.

Don't forget hurries.
We faced two teams with quick pass options in Miami and Toledo. We never got time to get too the QB so ended up getting a ton of hurries. Add in the 3 fumbles forced by pressure, and at least 5 of the picks being based off of the line.

No Carolina fan is arguing that UF has a better defense than us bc its true. But what we are saying is the teams we played so far is better than the teams you guys have. While y'all lead in team defense we lead in sacks and tfl while playing better opponents. LOGIC

Georgia
Miami
UNC
Vandy
Tenn
Toledo
