The same people who are hesitant about the "science" are the same people who would bomb the shite out of an AP Biology exam.

Let's stop kidding around. No amount of research, information, or statistics are going to convince anti-vaxxers to take the shot. They're sticking to their guns that's that. Maybe some will be dumb enough to fall for idiotic "gift card" prizes (welfare is a bitch). Maybe others will take it once they lose someone close to them. But I just don't see the vast majority of holdouts taking the shot.

Some people just love to go against the grain, even if it means doing something that is against your own self-interest.

They're fricking idiots. They don't realize, that one of the contributing factors in the spike is simple. In the months of June, July this state was packed with people from all over the country. The beaches on the west coast were slammed. The beaches on the east coast packed.

Uncle Joe gave them their stimulus and many of them spent it on a Florida beach vacation.

So why not allow those communities to make decisions to account for the influx of tourists? Aren't they better situated to put in targeted restrictions?

Most folks I know who haven't gotten the shot have already had Covid and don't see a medical reason to do so. Others are young and healthy and have little risk from Covid. Most folks I know that haven't gotten the shot can talk in depth about the science as well but most folks in favor of mandates just say generalizations like you just have.

If you are high risk and haven't gotten the shot you are a fool but there are lots of stupid things people do. There are absolutely some folks that are just stupid out there when it comes to Covid on both sides.

Hell Fauci just did ANOTHER PC where he was asked if it mattered if you wore and N95 mask, a surgical mask, or a cloth mask and he said it didn't matter. Now THAT is misinformation. N95 is about 50% effective and cloth and surgical are around 10%. Neither does much but if you REALLY want to wear a mask and be "safe" you need to wear and N95. Lying to people who know the truth isn't helping.

A straw man is a form of argument and an informal fallacy of having the impression of refuting an argument, whereas the real subject of the argument was not addressed or refuted, but instead replaced with a false one. One who engages in this fallacy is said to be "attacking a straw man". - Wikipedia

No one is telling anyone that they can't wear a mask. No one is telling anyone that they can't get a vaccination.
He's leaving it up to individuals to decide what is best for them. I know you liberals hate freedom of choice. You'd rather be dictated to by your government.

Such as your initial argument that people are fine with politics in sports as long as they are right wing politics.

Right?

Making a lot of assumptions about me.

These statewide bans are pointless and political stunts for his future endeavors. Even you said the spike from tourists was inevitable, so why would you not empower municipalities to take steps to protect their citizens?
