I disagree but we’ll never see how it would have been portrayed if Trump prosecuted this exit. Again, the plan for exiting was largely constructed by people below the spoils game who would be around regardless of who won in November. I think this failed due to a bureaucratic failure within the DOD and State Dept and the entire DOD and State Dept doesn’t change over with executive change. People overestimate how much the president can affect minutia in the details of an operation like this one. They basically sets their intent and the bureaucracy executes.
