That's what you get when you pay a sunbelt coach jimbo ripoff level of money.

That's incredibly harsh. Their AD constantly competes for Director Cups and they had the GOAT stretch with Meyer and Donovan.

The fact you had to cite Director Cups when the thread was "Florida football is done being an elite program" really just highlights my point. You yourself don't believe you have any arguments based on Florida football itself.

They had a good coach in Meyer, but he ran as soon the competition in the SEC started to rise because he couldn't handle it.

Spurrier was an elite coach who did more with less. Combine Spurrier with an elite program and Florida would have been a dynasty. Meyer only knows how to use shite up.

Compare it with LSU who wins national champions with bad coaches, not elite coaches. That's a better program, and they still average 3 losses a year.

All these people would have fired Bear in 1970, cried and made threads like this. And all Bear managed to do was win the SEC 9 out of the next 11 years along with 3 more national championships.

This is rich coming from a Bama fan, whose school has only been successful when it bought rosters while the rest of CFB could not, and then become mid level when everyone else could also buy rosters.

Alabama is #1 in recruiting and has been in the top2 for the past 4 years you fricking retard.

If anything, the problem with Alabama right now is too much talent which has come with a bunch of entitlement.

But please, continue on your with your loser excuses.

Go ahead and name the recruiting class that dropped off, I'll wait.

The fact of the matter is Alabama and has been more talented over the 3 past years since NIL started than at any point in history.

And if you think Vandy beat Alabama because Alabama suddenly had a drop in talent and Vandy had a big uptick in talent, then I don't even know what to tell you.

That's a weird way of pretending

I think the Director's Cup is still a big achievement though.

Isn't it really just based on how many programs the schools have?

Florida had some good years with Football and Basketball at the same time, which is a big for their AD. Byrne at Alabama seems to be doing a similar job and it's remarkable.
