I will be surprised if a single gator fan would like having that red faced, emotional dip shite back

I really like the guy, but I would never want him back. Even if 10 coaches in a row failed. He had his shot, he couldn’t make it work here. It is what it is and I hope he is successful in Columbia for years to come.

You know they will say no but really they wish they had stuck it out with him

Florida has pinned its problems on a slew of injuries. But that excuse doesn't work against Georgia Southern, which has won three in a row and played without 19 of 65 scholarship athletes. The Gators were beaten soundly on both sides of the ball.

Nah, I'm good.

Didn't he literally just fire another offensive coordinator? He just can't seem to get that side of the ball correct. He was fortunate to land a QB who was already developed before he got on campus at SC.

Any person that says they want Muschamp over Mullen is kiding themselves.

McElwain took the dumpster fire Muschamp left behind and won the East twice.

I’m being completely serious here, why would we want that? He re-hired Roper who couldn’t get it done here and had to fire him again. It would have been 2 more years without a championship. He has no idea what he’s doing on the offensive side of the ball, or he would have never brought Roper to Columbia in the first place. How long were we supposed to give him on the job training? Would you be happy with 4-8, 6-5 in year 3 and 4?

Because the East was it’s own dumpster fire.

Yeah, the guy lost against an FCS team it's just not gonna fly, man. He had the best class of all time in 2010 and lost to an FCS in 2013.

There is no way to spin that other than he's a very shitty coach.

They both seem to suck at least here.

I didn’t say anything about Muschamp. But Mcelwain winning the east isn’t anything to brag about.

I don’t think he was a good fit at Florida. I agree. But it’s pretty clear he’s not a shitty coach. Just made mistakes at his first HC job at a major program with major expectations. He was in over his head.

Other than hiring Roper again, he’s done just fine here.

Yeah, a losing record at Kentucky's sweet for you guys, he's a hero.

We fired McElwain after having two 10 win seasons. Your standard for a good coach is shockingly different than ours.

He already said something to this effect, now you’re just kind of being an arse. There is no need to be defensive. Mullen gets paid well to take shite from fans.

Not sure why you’re so aggro. I’m halfway agreeing with you.

Shitty coach or not, it’s clear Florida has its own problems and it doesn’t all fall on Champ. I’ll ask again in this thread, how many coaches is Florida going to go through before y’all admit it’s a Florida problem?

I’ll take the guy who took a 3 win team and turned them into a 6 win team and then into a 9 win team. Thanks.

Yeah it’s not some huge shock that Florida expectations are different than our expectations. He can laugh all he wants, but I’ll take 8-9 win seasons every year and then we can talk about having higher expectations. Can’t build it in a day.

Because SC fans are trying to sell Muschamp to us like he didn't come here and look like diggity dogshit. Then you guys are acting like Florida made some bad hires when you literally hired our sloppy seconds.

Wait until Bentley leaves, then you'll see the problem.

And how many OCs does your HC have to fire before you realize they're not the problem?

You are right to be happy with Champ, he should have started at USC, he would probably already be your Dabo. There are a few schools where his brand of football don’t mesh, Florida is one of them. He’s tenure here was a mix of inexperience and really shitty luck. He’s a good coach, that needs to find someone he trust on offense pay them well and keep them for as long as possible. There isn’t many better than him on D, scheme or recruiting wise.

No, even though he may turn out to be a great coach. No hard feeling for Muschamp from me. I wish him well every game but one.

You’re 100% correct he would have gotten year 4 if he didn’t hang himself.
