Or even better so you can feel it better
Think of Texas, Aggies, and Tech..while the Florida rivalrys have teams with more title success(besides Texas), it is probably similar.

You think florida st and miami to florida are like Texas Tech and A&M to Texas?

Alot different

Tech and A&M truly suck

Florida st. And Miami are well respected, as is florida
And this is coming from a horns fan

Definitely wrong

Florida State had the longest peak, but Miami has as many titles as UF and FSU combined.

It's a state law that UF and FSU have to play each other. They can't force Miami because they're a private school.

and 4 years after the Gators stopped playing Miami, they haven’t won a title since and have been totally irrelevant in football. To the point where their president talked about cancelling football.

Try to keep up.

That’s a myth. There is no law. It’s just a gentlemen’s agreement.

They bought players and played in the Big East. I would hope they had some success. Let me know when one of those schools plays a SEC schedule and accomplishes something.

The big reason Miami and FSU became relevant was because the NCAA had a witch hunt for the Florida Gators. Had we not went on probation, we would have won many more titles than the other two teams.

Coulda woulda shoulda, a lot of that is self inflicted we acted like little bitches, ratted on ourselves and stopped cheating for years. We should have threw up the middle finger and used it as fuel to the fire to cheat more like everyone else in this league does. UF is UF’s biggest hurdle, always has been.

Like everyone around the country did… The NCAA was hell bent on destroying a good man. Charlie Pell. They deserve the middle finger.

I've always figured they dislike each other obviously, but FSU probably gets more of the hate from both schools.

UF fans will never admit it, but they hate FSU because they won a natty before them despite all their institutional advantages

They often try to deflect and belittle FSU (as is seen in this thread) because they are insecure

Then there’s Miami whom both FSU and UF hate

The Canes are desperately clinging onto the past for dear life, did you know they haven’t earned a conference title since 2003?

fsu is widely known as a fall back position if you don't get into THE University of Florida. The academics at UF are FAR superior to fsu, every metric shows this, every year. Hell, fsu's med school was almost closed due to how sucky it is.

And don't get me started on their anthropology dept...

FSU is a top 35 academic school with multiple NCs.

How do they correlate to Texas Tech?

I think the Texas Tech analogy works fairly well when comparing the various sizes of the in state fan bases. The size of the UF fan base dwarfs the size of the FSU fan base...in part due to FSU having been a girl's school until after WWII. And also because Tally is kind of remotely located in Florida (like Lubbock)... Then you have the Flagship thing and the SEC membership working for Florida...

For Miami... maybe SMU works best... but in a way... Duke works pretty well also.

Any context is appreciated really.

What are things like between the Football Big 3 over there in the Sunshine State?

"Any context"? No mention of fans? Eat shite faggie.

I get the location and fanbase thing.

But I think you’re selling them way short on the other accounts when they have a top 10 BCS era on football program and borderline elite academics with regard to Tech.

I remember the last time Miami was ranked high rolled into Knoxville looking for an easy win and got beat.
I’m no fan of Miami either
I also don’t want to see FSU in the SEC
