Florida beat LSU pretty damn soundly

I just watched the game again on Youtube. Trying to see what LSU did to lose that game. All I saw was a Florida team that took control of the game.
LSU didn't lose that game. Florida beat that arse. Go and rematch it if you have any doubts. Is Florida better than LSU? Don't know but on that day they were.
LSU should have learned their lesson. When UF lost to UK they didn't go around saying they beat themselves. They strapped it up and started ballin. You have two weeks to prepare for Bama.
All eyes are on you LSU. What are you made of?

I don’t think anyone really disputes this. Florida whipped our OL.
If our OL plays like it did against UF, LSU has no chance at beating Bama.
If our OL plays like it did against UGA, we have a puncher’s chance.

Right after that loss we housed the team that you play this weekend. I think we answered your question.
That said, our OL couldn't handle your DL that day which is what ultimately led to the win, but let's be honest, we had the lead with under 9 minutes left in the game. It wasn't like you guys beat us down. It was a back and forth game that you won. You guys played well and we failed to take advantage of some easy opportunities (mainly dropped passes, which is extremely frustrating).

Good buddy of mine big florida fan has rewatched game multiple times still agrees lsu was self destructive/didn't play their best. keep telling yourself that though pal and best of luck this week

As an LSU fan I can promise you that you haven't heard me say LSU beat themselves. UF won the battle in the trenches and didn't have a left tackle capable of stopping UF's DE. There's little doubt that LSU was driving for another score on their second possession before the turnover. However, UF made the plays when needed.
UF simply outperformed LSU. I don't believe coaching had much to do with it. UF simply played a more physical football game and came away with the W.

Got beat bad on the OL. We have had 7 different starting combinations and just started to get back towards full strength this week. UF handled our OL in the trenches and that was the difference. Even with that, we had a chance to set up for a game winning fg, but Burrow was rushed and threw a pick bc of the OL.

Yup.
I really like Florida's chances against UGA for the same reason they gave LSU fits. They have a stout defense. And they have Merlins. I think he finds a way to get enough out of Franks and the defense does the rest.

UF's FL lived behind the los & Burrow didn't have time to wave at a receiver, much less throw to one. Our FL got zero penetration so no pressure on a Frank's. He played a very good game as well and UF was effective at moving the ball on the ground. I freely admit it... UF was the better team that day. Any consolation, Mullin is who I wanted Alleva to go get. Dude is a top flight coach.
