Too early to tell really.
A) It is hard to win every game in the SEC conf.
B) What if we lose a couple of key offensive players?
Greatest and best conversations should be saved until the end of the season.
We have a damn strong football team though.

The last 5 teams that USC has fielded were supposedly "the best ever."
You see how that worked out....

Shouldn't they at least play the season out before he makes that call??? There's too many "What ifs" that could happen between now and January. However, as of right now they have it all.

If Percy Harvey would've come back, then possibly yes.
Maybe a newcomer will have a great season for Corch Meyers...

That was the first thought in my head when I read this title.
USC is supposed to have "The Best Team Ever" pretty much every year.

i think they are talking talent wise. i would agree that they at this piont are top of the sec, true anything can happen and losses happen but looking at how they are stacked they are a real good team.

Way too early to say anything like that. Hard to live up to the Miami team. I think it was 00-01, they just slaughtered everyone

Florida will be good, but they will lose at least 1 game.

Pretty much every team that has every had that label put on them at the beginning of the season, ends up choking b/c the pressure is too much.

In order for that to happen we'd probably have to have lost somewhere else too, and I don't see us having multiple losses in the regular season.

I think this Florida team deff has the potential to be THE BEST college football team ever. They are stacked beyond belief.....
I sure hope we screw it up though.....

Yeah, but to hear USC fans tell it they get "screwed" every year out of the MNC.
I think it was 07 when I read an article about what team was going to "earn the right to play USC in New Orleans". Turns out, it was LSU and OSU playing in NO.

It will be hard to live up to this team...THAT was a squad. The only thing is if Miami would have played the caliber schedule Florida will face, would they have been just as dominant?

I thought Gary Danielson had some really good thoughts on this in an AJC article on the SEC today.
Can Florida handle the hype? “The main storyline going into the season for me is the unbelievable expectations that Florida will face this year. They basically have the trophy cabinet already built and anything less than a national championship is going to be a disappointment. It’s a great team and they have everybody back. But are they better than the Miami team of 2002? I think they had 11 NFL players on that team. Are they better than USC in 2005? That team had Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush. Neither of those teams could repeat.
“And here is something that is really important. I think the competition that Florida is playing in this league (SEC) right now is superior to any competition that any team has ever faced trying to repeat.
“It is just so hard to win a national championship. Remember this. (Tim) Tebow had to go 7-for-7 in the fourth quarter against Alabama (in the SEC championship game) and 7-for-7 against Oklahoma in the fourth quarter (in the BCS championship game) for Florida to win the national title. It’s just hard to do.
“Can those expectations be met? To me that is the story of the year.”
