Got any depth behind them? Welcome to the world of Richt where you are missing starters at the beginning of the season.

We had 7 miss the opener last year and 7 miss the whole season the year before.

Miami maybe a little better than Charleston Southern.
And the prior season you guys missed a bowl game... I'd imagine the impacts from this offseason's losses/suspensions would be somewhere between the 2.

Are these particular players suspended for the entire season?

I don't think anything has been announced yet.

Yeah... the rampant speculation was one for the season and the other two for minimum of one game, but it's all wild internet conjecture until it actually gets announced.

The rumor mill is churning that multiple UF players will be suspended for the Miami game and one player may be implicated in a title IX case.
Maybe I am not understanding clearly about Title IX....how does a player get in trouble over it? isn't Title IX about equality in sports as far as scholarships, facilities and access?

So. . . improvement?

I'll never criticize a school for having players suspended, especially when they do it for key games (not the next cupcake). Every team has plenty of players break the rules. It's the ones that sweep it under the rug and somehow rarely lose key players that deserve criticism.

There is no way that Kirby will go down the Richt path despite having the almost the same records after year 3.

This exactly. Not sure players names should be mentioned before anything is announced. Speculation is never good in a public forum when it could affect players adversely. At least not until it is confirmed. JMO.

Rumored to be a female athlete with one of the football players that had an issue.

I suppose it's possible but Kirby has shown much more of a killer instinct in games and a better ability to recruit.

It's comical that people keep bringing up that fact like it's some kind of slight or insult. Early era-Richt was phenomenal and one of the hottest up and coming coaches in america. I mean, is it really an insult to point out 2 division titles, 1 SEC title, and a major (CFP/BCS) bowl win in your first 3 years as a head coach? I think that's great company to be compared to.
The logical phallacy here is that people think that all of the above means that kirby is at some point going to magically turn into the year 15 mode of richt, which there is zero evidence whatsoever to suggest.

Ah. Still not sure how Title IX is involved, but I don't understand Title IX anyway.

If I were a reporter I’d agree with you but I’m not and this is why message boards exist: to pass on info as it circulated around the Internet. It’s also why actual reporters and media types shouldn’t read message boards and use it as a source but should instead reach out to actual verifiable people in and around programs to determine if a rumor has legs.
FWIW these names were posted by a Florida poster on a Tennessee site and I’ve had the same names texted to me as appearing on twitter. Could be nothing but it’s what is already circulating on message boards

Yep, I don't mind posting names. If it's all smoke (I don't think this is, personally) then fine, everyone can go on their merry way.
I just don't see why everyone is so worried with rumors, we all know it's innocent until proven guilty but it's nice to know the names beforehand.
As for a few Safeties missing the Miami game, I'm not really worried about their uh, incredible pass attack that they've been known for.

It would be unwise to underestimate Tathan.
