I also took your recommendation and added the Finebaum quote on the front page. It's pretty hilarious where it fit's in the timeline. It was on May 13 which is when EVERYTHING was hitting the fan for Mullen.

It helps contextualize why this thread is important. Haha. It’s been picked up by at least 4 other internet places (the senator, 247, reddit, Florida 247)

I've brewed my own for the better part of the last decade. These days hard to find the time though with the wee one.

Interesting that some UF fans still attempting to play the rent free card. You're currently paying more than $6 million a year to a coach that can't get us out of his head... Whatever works for you.

“It's devastating, primarily because of Dan Mullen’s mouth," Finebaum said. "He’s been running it for months, frankly, he’s been running it since he was born. I was in his office three and a half weeks ago, I heard him running his mouth about Georgia and it caught up to him and now all those people who have been sitting around going, ‘I wonder why he’s doing that?’ are turning on him.

Jesus. I could swear you all had told us that Kirby was a shite coach and the only reason for his success was Mark Richt's recruits. After hiring the most innovative coach in the SEC who is the great QB Whisperer, you'd think he'd be more focused on greater challenges. I was distinctly told that UF would win in Jax by no less than two TDs.

Maybe that's the beers getting to me though.

You guys want to think that he isn't like Richt...except for coming up short and having almost identical records so far.

Gonna be interested to see what you guys do after this year with your QB and if Kirby can get an OC or DC who he didn't promote from within.

Which Richt?

He is a lot like early Richt, except he doesnt always lose to Florida.

He is much better than the old tired Richt we fired.

Fair point. May even be the same record after this year. Guess we will see.

Weird melt... but OK. Seems like he had a freshman QB go the the NC game in 2017 if that’s what you mean. Maybe you meant the freshman that whipped your arse 42-7? Or maybe it was that OC that UT has now that made it happen. You know...the one who ran into the teeth of your defense for 7 plays in a row and didn’t chip your DE? I think we will be fine. Thanks for your concern though.

Georgia on a good 2 year run and it’s still florida all the time that they think about. Lol.

Who cares about this if the promotions from within work out?

And how is Mullen different than Muschamp?

Why can't you promote from within? If you hire good assistants and coordinators you can do that.
Wasn't Spurrier an assistant coach once? How about Urban Meyer? wasn't he an assistant at one time?

Note: Yes. both were assistants.

Straws: We will see how good Kirby is when he starts coaching his own players! The only reason he is winning is because he has Mark Richt's player!

Straws: We'll see if Kirby can get an OC or DC that isn't his assistant!

In Straws world it is much better to pass ove a Spurrier or Meyer to get a current OC or DC from another school.

Never change Straws.

Why not? Florida trolled and talked and thought about us when y'all were winning. Seems about right.

Are you guys gonna take the #allaggyallthetime away from them now that they've abandoned it?

Seems appropriate.

Yea I'm sure it will be a huge problem for one of the best programs in the land to get a good OC/DC
