We are keeping hope alive. I'm sure I heard someone say that.

Hey we got to 100 pages! This thread officially kicks the LSU (As the Bayou Boils) thread's arse!

And according to Nino, this is post #1980! So I think we should all raise a glass for this special number in Georgia history!

Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray!

What post number?

Are you talking about my number of posts? Geez I hadn't looked at it in forever, that is kind of embarrassingly high.

Correction, so it was a coaching problem at UF, got it.

Not a problem any more.

Matt, I know you to be a huge optimist, and that's ok.

Out of curiosity, what would you say the timeline for Mullen to win a National Championship would be?

Wait....what should it be, and what do you think it will be?

When you go to the Rant and you see the thread title, go to the right and you will see "Replies".

So, in actuality, the OP is not counted, only the replies to the OP. Check it out and tell me if you see what I mean. Sometimes I am not very clear.

I just found out about it about a year ago.

For me, there is no time line for winning a Natty, (as long as it is before UG wins anther one) I do expect to compete for the SEC championship every year and for the Natty within 4 years. If you compete every year, you will win one every now and then if the cards fall your way.

If you feel that way, can you imagine how Auburn fans feel?

I agree. I think that is what has so many Georgia fans excited. We are competing, and are recruiting well, too.

It scares me a little when you look at what happened with Muschamp, Gus, and a couple of other coaches having a lot of success early then fading away.

From our perspective it just "feels" different....but I'm sure it felt different for Florida and Auburn fans when it happened for them, too. A couple more years should spell it out for us clearly that Kirby is for real and will keep us competing or if he will fade away.

Thanks for the answer. Your response was very reasonable.

Pretty sure that was *reply* #1980... Post in thread #1981... (page 1 doesn't start with a #0).

eta: I now see DL hinted at it, but I just clarified the distinction.

You really believe that is the Florida expectation for Mullen?

That doesn't match the expectation with Mullen's hire.

It kind of sucks how incredibly butthurt you guys are by Mullen that you can't even recognize a joke.

I miss the days when Georgia fans weren't so uptight and unwilling to give any inch because of their crippling insecurity.

Let me answer:

We're happy with the trajectory, what we expected:

Franks to improve. (He did.)
The team to be tougher. (They did x a million.)
The offense to improve. (It did.)
That people are talking about us nationally by year's end for good reasons. (They were.)
That fans of other teams are so scared that they start multiple threads about our team every few days. (They have.)

I don’t miss the days when Uga wasn’t good enough to make Florida fans go loco.
