Squeeze the seats another 2 inches, and claim another 5K seats. It's tradition.

Call it whatever you want, its pretty dumb to put chairbacks at the top of the stadium when a shite ton don't have it in the lower bowl.

UT is giving up 500 seats for this renovation. UT has given up over 3,000 seats since 2005.

BS.
You only say this because Tennessee hasn't been elite recently.
Go watch when Oklahoma came to Neyland. Baker Mayfield recently said it's still the loudest most hostile stadium and difficult to play in out of any college or nfl stadium he has played in.
And that's when effin butch jones was coaching. You younger guys have no idea how intimidating Neyland can be at night when we are good. No effin clue.

Did they reduce the seat width from 12” to 10”?

It’s the only SEC venue he’s ever played in.

I’m not what many would consider young, bud. Like I said in the post you replied to, I’ve been to big games in Neyland when Tennessee was still an elite program. I’m well aware what it’s like at its best. I’m also aware you’re a Tennessee fan and are going to have a difficult time removing your personal bias from your opinion.

Missouri is the last fans that can talk about having a shitty stadium.
Posted on 8/31/22 at 11:53 pm to psk_Vol
They may hold 60K in Missouri, but only about 20K are actually going to the games.

Am I seeing this correctly? They added decent chairbacks in the upper decks yet half of the lower bowl is bleachers?
The lower bowl has had chair backs from the dawn of time. You just couldn't be poor and sit in them.

That is the shittiest stadium in the SEC. You cannot change my mind.
Which typifies most of the problems with the fans that inhabit this board.

You definitely didn't hear it on this board.

In all seriousness, Neyland is a great experience and consistently rated that way by those who don't have an irrational hate on. Visiting fans tend to have nothing but nice things to say IRL and even in online forums that are less hostile than this one. Neyland could get cramped in the 90s, sure, but even then nothing like described by our resident whiners. Most of the complaints aren't even relevant to today and are overblown when they do manage some accuracy with regards to the past.
TBH, most of the stadiums in the SEC are quality venues. However, you'll make more friends on this board by taking potshots and pretending you're superior.

Been multiple times and it's a dump. It's like walking in a sewer tunnel just to get in.
