It’s 2023 and Bama isn’t feared by anyone anymore

No one feared Alabama after the Kick Six in November 2013. It wasn't until the latter part of the 2015 season that we got our reputation back again.

So long as Alabama continues to recruit in the Top 3 every single year, we will be dominant.

eeeehhhhh idk about that. I think bama has been "feared" since the 2011 season to present. Obviously 08 and 09 were dominant but after 3 losses in 2010 it was "ok they finally came back down to earth again". Then 2011 erased that quickly. Even in "down" years like 2014 bama has still had the appropraite level of fear/respect.

I think the biggest difference between those days and now is that bama doesn't seem literally invincible/unbeatable. Even back in those days like 2015/2016, if bama lost a game it was "stop the presses" news. Like holy shite, bama lost!? Are you serious!? It was hard to even comprehend. Nowadays, even though the losses are not frequent, they're believable. Even in games they're winning they look human and are winninbg tight ballgames, occasionally against vastly inferior teams. That wasn't the case even 3/4 years ago.

I can't click on whatever links you've postd but I think I have a pretty solid grasp on the situation. I would trust a a diehard SEC fan in SEC country on the topic opposed to whatever media talking heads I assume you've linked that only exist to generate clicks and views for money.

Shout out to Tulane for being preseason ranked for the first time in school history.

On this very website, I could go back to 2015 after our loss to Ole Miss, and 2019 after our loss to Auburn, and give you thread after thread of people talking about tDecline and how Alabama is finished. But it would do no good. You're stuck in your narrative and that's whatever.

By the by, one of the clips linked is audio from a "diehard SEC fan in SEC country."

And now poor BAMA is trying to rebound from an 11-win season. Oh, the inhumanity of it all.

Imagine these same people picking 4 loss LSU to come out of the West after getting curbed-stomped by 3 SEC teams.

And poor BAMA is still digging out of an 11-win season. 2 last-second losses on the road. Oh, the inhumanity of it all.

The AP poll is the ONLY poll outside of the Playoff poll that matters. It's the oldest and most respected poll there is, and it's the poll with which every "top 25" outside of the Playoff version is determined.

They also completely worked Ohio State on the road, who was a shanked field goal away from ending Georgia's season a game early. It goes both ways.

Dude, UT should worry abut beating TCU before SEC. Bama will beat shorthorn steers by 21. Book it!

I’m more than a little annoyed Clemson is ahead of us.

Bama will be dominant against the SEC West. And that’s about all you can say about them.

they gotta prop up that conference when they can before everyone knows it's bad football again - and it's easier to do in a meaningless preseason poll - that's why there's an ACC ranked at #20 preseason too

LOL at FSU being #8. The most overrated team by far this year.

OM and preseason hype

It's not like they lost 5 of their last 6 or anything.

Then A&M ranked at 5-7.

I don’t think an 8-4 team should be ranked. Maybe receiving votes is more appropriate.

Big 10 puffery. Alabama with all its uncertainty at QB, coordinators etc would be a TD favorite over Michigan today, prob 4-5 over OSU, and 10 over Penn State. And I’d prob lay the points in all 3
