Regardless I will never believe Auburn didn't break any rules in recruiting Cam.

Here's what Marshall actually said:

quote:

We expect movement of some kind by the end of the week. It could be that Cam Newton is cleared to play out the season. It could be that the NCAA recommends he be held out for the Iron Bowl as the investigation continues. It could be the investigation goes on and there is no recommendation to hold him out. Making no recommendation that he be held out is tantamount to clearing him to play, as was the case last week.

It was on TV and he sited his source as being the TV station that initially reported it.

Like I said, Joe Schad wouldn't put his name out there for not.

Even if Cam didn't do anything wrong, isn't it pretty much assured Cecil solicited money? Wouldn't Auburn still be in trouble?

If there is no proof that Auburn paid him then I don't think so. Cam should be ineligible though, which means vacated wins for Auburn. If Cecil Newton really did solicit a pay for play situation and the NCAA lets Cam slide it's setting a pretty terrible precedent.

Yeah, it could be all of those things. It could also be just about anything else.

I did not predict Cam Newton would be cleared by the week's end. See for yourself what we wrote. It's free. LINK

This is Phillip Marshalls Tweet as of a minute ago.

Thanks man! Marshall is an AU homer but he has no idea what hell will happen - just like the rest of us.

Told me what? That link says jack shite about Cecil admitting to anything, or anything being confirmed. All it says is MSU is accusing Rogers of soliciting them, and Rogers is accusing Newton.

Could you imagine the "MELTDOWN" if he is deemed eligible.. The Bammers would go fricking insane.. Then round 3 would commence at BDS.

Your reporting skills suck donkey balls.

Finebaum tweeted this:
"@finebaum: Phillip Marshall, Auburn Undercover says: Newton could be cleared by the end of week LINK ;

Finebaum didn't say shite. He merely reported what Phillip Marshall @ Auburn Undercover had to say.

that's why he cited the TV station. And apart from that TV station nobody else has reported it; everybody cites WSB-TV
