Its one thing to be very happy at the school you are working at, but quite another when your FIRST LOVE comes calling. There's no doubt that Urban's first love is the Dome.

Ole Miss, Alabama & LSU all have a great chance of winning the west and losing to Fla in the SECCG.

The comments on VT by PF, not as far off as some think:
I think he's reflecting on how Saban was out coached, and there's no denying he was out coached badly in that game.
While Spurrier out coached him as well beating LSU 41-9 and 44-15 in 2000 and 2001, and Richt beat him 45-16 in fifth year, they all had equal or better teams.
In 2002, many expected LSU to contend for a NC in his third year. MAny thought VT was overrated.
Many thought Saban was too good of a coach to lose to Beamer.
The game wasn't that close. VT fumbled on the 2
getting a safety and ended the game on the LSU 5.
VT beat the hell out of LSU that day.
Saban was throttled by a far less talented team
that day, and completely out coached-- especially in the specical teams department. FWIW it was also
a bad day for Jimbo, who did nothing whatsoever
in the way of adjustments.
IMO PF is thinking Saban has a revenge factor going.
IMO he misses the mark, because Beamer is
a helluva better coach than he's willing to give him credit for.
All PF understands is how to get an audience.
And keep them.
--------------
Now we can't defend the entire comment.
Now there is one last point he failed to
bring up about VT:
When LSU exchanged Saban for Miles, Miles hung roughly 50 on VT.
quote:
The last time Beamer and Saban met in a season opener, the Hokies throttled LSU 26-8 in one of Saban's most humiliating nights as LSU's coach.

There aren't a lot of teams and coaches that haven't been schooled by Beamer's special teams...that man consistently has out of this world special teams play. That scares me more than any other matchup going into our opener, because we've had some kick shite coverage and punt protection for a LOOOONG time.

I'll address your post since you're not being
an POS.
As in 2002, as it was in 2007, and as it is in
2009, both teams playing are in the Top 10. Most will assume that Saban should beat Beamer. Most will again assume Saban will beat Beamer.
Miles destroyed a top 5 VT team, and he's 19-0 against OOC matchups.
Can Saban do the same?
an POS.

I'd be shocked if Bama doesn't win 10 games. Even if the QB play is poor, which nobody knows, the defense is going to be scary good and the schedule is very light by SEC standards

Every first year starter is as bad as Jarrett Lee. FACT.

Don't you mean "book it"...??

Jaydeaux is making a strong push on Cadello for rantard of the year. I didn't think it could be done, but he's stepping his game up. Congrats brah

No flames but Bama goes 4-7 this year gonna be real shitty for the TIDE..

Still in denial, I see. We'll end this stupid
comparison in about 5 months.
One more time. JL was not a first year starter. He was targeted to be a third string backup and had no experience. And JJ was a fourth string QB who was not going to see much playing time. Has not Miles balled up and did the right thing by sending RP packing in June, neither probably would have played this year.
Which is the only reason LSU didn't go 10-3 last year.
Stop being an arse, and people won't make an arse out of you.

so by saying RP would have started, you're admitting that not every first year starter is horrible? Cool, I agree

I knew it. And I knew that the kid (and Miles and LSu) played basically three #1 teams in 7 weeks.
Think about it.

Care to tell me what I stated that wasn't correct?
You never change. Sucks to be you, I guess.

I don't think Bama will tank.
Schedules' too easy. Saban won't let that happen.
