It’s funny that number seven would’ve been number 11 or 12 if not for number six

College football attendance is indeed declining and it is becoming a regional sport.

This indeed is true, especially the part about it becoming a regional sport.

The highest-ranked Pac-12 team is USC at #20. Eight SEC schools had higher attendance. Four SEC schools averaged around 30,000 more than USC.

Vanderbilt drew more than Mike Leach and Washington State. Let that sink in for a moment.

Pullman, WA is more BFE than any other P5 program. Most (95% maybe?) of the Vandy attendance is other teams' fans going there

How can vandy justify keeping their coach?

Vandy had better attendance than Mike Leach.

Even if everyone in the stadium is a WSU fan, they can only draw 30,000 a game? With allegedly the most exciting offensive mind in college football running the program?

There are lower level seats for the championship game for $19 on StubHub right now.

Relative to other regions, sports fans in the Pac-12 footprint just don't give a shite about college football.

I agree about the Pac 12. But, according to wiki, their undergrad enrollment is 20k (very small for a state U), they are in BFE and their stadium capacity is 32,952. So I wouldn't hold Wazzu up as a good example of the Pac 12 not caring

I get tired of "fans" saying Vandy should be replaced. Vanderbilt is what they have always been, and they will continue being Vanderbilt. They are a charter member and they will be here as long as they want to continue the membership.

If they can't build a new stadium or get more of their own fans to attend, they should be kicked out.

I wouldn't either. I combine it with the fact that one of the premier programs of all time, with seven Heisman winners, comes in at only 20th, and $19 ticket prices in the lower level for their championship game.

Yeah and the fact that USC thinks that just renovating the Coliseum is good enough
