I figured the sweep of TT would have gotten us back in the top 10

If we ever have sports again, I'm concerned about the Gabe Gross advanced calculus approach to hitting. AU seems to get locked down against good pitching. He's all about seeing pitches and a late in the zone approach. We also combine that with lots of strikeouts which is nonsensical.
For AU alums, with Sisson we'd go up and hunt fastballs like we were swinging an ax and our hitting stats were better with much less talent. Gabe Gross was an MLB player and this is the second year we seemingly would have struggled with our approaches.

Well I'm never a subscriber of a scapegoat, but it would have been informatative to see how the season and hitting played out. He hasn't been in his position long enough to just summarily dismiss the guy. Plus he's an AU baseball legend. People and philosophies can change and evolve. He's definitely coaching that Renfroe approach he learned at AU and my concern is that there aren't many ballplayers that can approach an at-bat that way these days.
70% of what you get is dead red, so hunt fastballs would be my preference. But what do I know.

I feel bad for the teams that were looking awesome this year. Brutal to have it end like this.

I was most interested in what Alabama was going to do this year. Bohannon is a great guy and awesome recruiter so their success wouldn't have been a suprise to me. I'm more of a 'rising tide raises all boats' person and I think Alabama's baseball success would have benefitted Auburn and the state of AL. Bohannon could find baseball talent chopping rocks in Armenia. That's what he's good at... he signs alot of Canada kids that always seem to pan out.

A timeline of my celebration.

It really sucks for Georgia as we are going to be down next year as Hancock, Wilcox, and Bradley almost assuredly leave your go pro along with Shepherd and Sullivan graduating. We should be solid again in a couple of years but we had an Omaha worthy squad this year and it never got past 20 games

Now do last year. Or the year before. Or any other year this decade.
I am confused though. So has the narrative gone back to "Bianco is the man?" It's difficult to keep it straight.
An ole miss fan calling someone else a fig is pretty rich, though.

This really sucks. Arkansas had taken a step back, but I really wanted to see how UF, UGA, Ole Miss, Vandy, Arkansas, MSU, and LSU finished up. I wanted to see if Auburn, Bama, and Tennessee were going to hold up. What could have been.

Pretty sad that LSU only finished one spot ahead of Tennessee, but not surprising.
