re: Fayetteville is the best road trip in the SEC for football/baseball/basketball IMO.

Solid tailgating around the stadium, the campus is just not set up to hold large groups of people like some SEC schools. Although I love LSU’s atmosphere for tailgating, Arkansas has them beat in overall town appeal, and cleanliness. People are lying in this thread if they have been to an Arky game and didn’t love that area. Also Hog fans get pretty rowdy despite the streak of 11 am games they went through for a while.

Outside of any college stuff, I'd live there. I'm 25 years in Utah.

Had a great trip for the UF game in 2016

Its really crazy. No one wants to leave NWA once they have lived there. Just an awesome area.
I’m here until mid September for work and can’t friggin wait to leave. The drive into town was pretty but other than that frick this place.

FAyetteville is nice but like any school that has a commercial/entertainment center close to the stadium and campus. I'd much rather stroll through campus and go to Dixon street as sit in a generic parking lot and tailgate at Arkie.
Another cool thing is that Arkansas puts all the graduating seniors each year into the sidewalks. You can find guys like Barry Switzer and Jimmy Johnsons name if you know what year they graduated.
Finally, the campus beautiful The setting is beautiful. Downtown is quaint and awesome. The only place that's NOT beautiful is the area around the football stadium and basketball arena.

You don't like the yankees and Californians that have invaded NWA?

I chose to leave after living there 13 years since graduating. Couldn't be happier. Everyone is settled down and married with kids by their late 20s. Dickson is a college scene. Restaurant selection is extremely sub par. The City Govt. is something straight out of the Portland playbook. Traffic for a town of its size is just flat out stupid. Waltons dictate your environment by either pulling things from Fayetteville to Bentonville or injecting cash in stupid shite like bike lane protection initiative that damage vehicles. A lot of hippies. I miss it and am excited to be excited about visiting Fayetteville again. Living there is alright to slightly good. I'm sure y'all would love the public schools and their agendas, banned American flags on clothing during Trump's Presidency at one point. It's just backwards in a lot of ways. Plus smug as shite.

As someone who moved here for grad school in 2001 with plans to move afterwards but still live here and mostly love it, I have to ask what you dislike about the area?
My own dislike is I am a warm weather person, I hate the cold. Legit hate it. It’s usually fine here but some days it is frickING COLD when the temp and wind line up just right.

Yeah it doesn't offer much after being there for three months or so.

You need to find new friends if you were just sitting in a parking lot by a truck.
Our tailgating isn’t the best because of the hills but there are several good spots.
We could always to like OM and have a tailgate on Old Main lawn. Same distance that the grove is to Vaught

Leave it to an Aggie to be thinking about another man’s arse. Not surprised

We can still get a drink Harry Rex. I’m here helping a local office and it’s just frustrating when people refuse to remove head from rectum.

I love visiting NWA. The rest of Arkansas is a different matter
Probably won't get much argument from Arkansans on that, even those of us that grew up in other areas of the state. Hot Springs is nice, but out of the way.
Unless you're a duck hunter, the rest of the state is basically Mississippi.

That's probably the nicest way to describe the fricking hell on earth we lived through for several years I have heard.
