I love our throwbacks too.

Our standard uniform is pretty traditional though.

I really like our away unis this year. If they could just get rid of those armpit blobs on the homes (or at least make them about 1/3 as big) I think we'd be set.

We probably won't have the same uniforms next year. I read an interview with a Nike executive(sorry, no link) that said these were just the initial designs and that we would have more options next year.

Where did I say colors?

I said design.

Arkansas was first to use a solid red top, white pants, red helmet.

Think harder before posting next time...

GTFO. Is that not what I've said. Alabama was using that design well before the 50s. The color scheme just changed in 1960.

A solid crimson top was used in 1930. White pants with crimson stripes were were added in 1946. The helmet design was first used in 1956, with the color scheme changing, to the current format, in 1960.

I would say the helmet plays are pretty large role in the uniform design, one that you changed to copy Arkansas 8 years after we changed from white helmets.

Because obviously you thought our jerseys were so snazzy you copied and have hung on to them for 40 years, 8 years after we first wore them, while we have moved on to better designs.

Do you wish your school had more identifiable traditional uniforms like Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee?

Arkansas has "the Helmet" so that makes up for their changes recently.

How do you explain this shite

The best thing that ever happened to your program came from Arkansas, so why not the uniforms?

(my grandfather played with Bear Bryant when their high school team won the Arkansas state championship, btw... one day I'm going to post scans of all the original newspaper clippings of Bear Bryant and the team on here for you Bama fans)
