OP with the mfkin gotcha damn! Would Notre Dame have won the BIG or ACC had they been a member of either conference since 2014? Unlikely but that is speculation.

Notre Dame played for the ACC Title 2 years ago.

Does this not pertain to every single coach in the SEC besides Kirby and Saban?

Maybe Harsin had one at Boise.

Jimbo and Kelly are very similar coaches record wise.

The major difference is Kelly has usually faced stronger teams in the postseason.

When they've faced the same team in a year, they've usually fared about the same.

I think both are good head coaches but I hate that Jimbo runs his own offense and will never change.

You couldn't even beat a fired coaching staff last year...

And you couldn’t have a winning season.

The thing that LSU fans constantly praise is LSU turns average coaches into national champions, but they fail to mention that the SEC west turns good coaches into average coaches. LSU has really only done shite in 1 season since 2009. 2011 got blown out in BCS championship vs Bama. Didn’t deserve to be there.

That's a lot of deflection from the original point.

An Aggie poster insinuated that A&M would regularly beat Kelly at LSU when you couldn't even beat a 6-7 dumpster fire with a fired coaching stuff playing with a bunch of backups in the starting lineup.

Kelly has made a living beating Stanford and the service academies. He’s in for a rude awakening.

Ed Orgeron could barely beat anyone before coming to LSU yet he managed to go 4-2 vs Aggie.

LSU just elevates their coaches.

Then did they fire them if LSU can win with anybody?

Because beating Aggie isn't going to win championships and it was clear that Orgeron couldn't effectively manage the program any longer.

Then why have to pay such an ungodly amount of money to an average coach like Brian Kelly? I get that Scott Woodward is a dumbass. Seems like he can't evaluate talent or negotiate a deal. But if LSU "just elevates their coaches" seems like coaches would have been lining up for the job to be elevated for lesser money.
