Mizzou won't drop that far, most of the skill players will be back and the next man up should be ready. Mauk to DGB will be a frequent headline next year.

For sure, we're going to be more explosive since Mauk actually hits WRs in stride. And with most of the East breaking in new or extremely unproven QBs, that gives us a critical leg up toward defending our crown.

I also like how our schedule unfolds, so we have as good a chance as any to repeat.

Predictions are pretty meaningless right now, with so much change possible before even spring camp starts.

I will say this for certain: UF will suck less than last year.

THat's all i know for sure.

UT, UF, USC, MU, GA. Any of those teams could win it. That said

UT is still probably a year away from that level.

UF may have the edge in talent but they have the worst coach.

GA. They are the biggest question mark to me. If the injuries gave valuable playing time to really good players they could be a monster, but the injuries could also portend how that team will look next year.

USC returns a ton from a top five team (no matter what the final rankings say they are a top five team). But that quarterback we played against for three quarters? I would like to face him every game next season.

MU. If Ealy wasn't leaving early I would say with confidence we will be better next year, but now we have a NFL first rounder hole to fill there. And Gaines. A lot is going to depend on those two positions if we are talking about a championship hunt. Otherwise we look great. Jose is also undecided about leaving early but he shares playing time there already. Schedule is favorable outside of the road game to SC.

My guess

1) Winner of the Columbia bowl
2) Loser of the Columbia bowl
3) Winner of the cocktail party
4) Loser of the cocktail party
5) TN
6) Vandy
7) Kentucky

Of course this could all change after spring practice

With the way Vandy and KY are recruiting the East looks to be a crazy clusterfuk for years.

I'm just going to leave this here...

Gurley, Marshall, Green, Chubb

Mitchell, Bennett, Scott-Wesley, Conley, Rumph

Rome

I know Mason hasn't been exceptional, but its hard to see the Offense being slowed down at all going into next year for UGA.

Defense should at least be experienced and I can't see them getting any worse next year.

I think UGA is the favorites for next year just because of what everybody seems to be losing, but the East looks to be a huge toss up again. I literally have no idea what to expect from Florida or Tennessee

FWIW, I don't think Muschamp is as BAD of a coach as he looked at times this year.

The number of injuries, especially to key positions, would test any coach at a major program.

Next year will be telling.

Who all is actually declaring or graduating from your camp now that the season is over?

On offense we graduate Frankin, Britt and Copeland from the OL, Washington, Lucas, Waters (TE who played some). I think that's all the contributors. We should be fine at QB and TE. You hate to lose the senior leadership at receiver, but we have plenty of young talent there, and on the line as well.

Joseph may declare for the draft, don't know yet.

On defense, we graduate Sam, Wilson, Gaines, White, Vincent, Foster and Ponder. I think. I think we actually takes step forward at DT, and the starting DEs were in this year's rotation. The LB and secondary units should be faster, but younger.

Early has declared for the draft, but Golden has said he's coming back. Golden and Ray on the ends will still be dangerous.

Yeah that was one of his worst games in 2years and still threw for 220. Hell, if we're going off one game, I'd like to see Franklin back for y'all because of how well he threw in the cotton bowl (was he really 11-40 at one point?). And let's not forget about dgb who had an entire 6 yards against us. I'm glad he's y'all's best weapon.

at people thinking UT has a pulse next year.

They replace the entire offsenive line. I don't care if you have Peyton Manning paired up with Megatron, Randy Moss and Jerry Rice with Barry Sander at RB- you still need an offensive line to block for the plays to be there

Mauk

That's why I'd make Mizzou the pre-season favorite for the east, fwiw. He's going to be really good I think.

I don't think he is a bad coach, however, his back is against the wall and he has to win at least 9 games next year or he is toast. I just don't see him getting that as Florida will definitely lose to:

BAMA
FSU
LSU

Next year and then you have potential losses to USC, Missouri, and Georgia.

Muschamp era will be over after next year.

There is no way UF wins 9 games next year.

Toughest schedule in the country by far.

8-4 at best IMO.

Doesn't really change my opinion. If you guys had Mauk I might be picking you for NC.
And yeah Mauk didn't look good in that game against you either.

ETA I'm saying that because the rest of your team looks that good not because I think Mauk is JFF. Yet. He could be. He's a gamer like Shaw

I'd say Mauk is the favorite for QB, but remember, it's an open position. Some people in the program thought true freshman Eddie Printz was better. I'd say Mauk is the favorite only because of the experience he got this year.

The Oline gets replaced by a JR, RS JR, RS JR,RS SO and a RS SR or 2 RS FR. The maturity and depth is there. That Oline struggled all year with the new scheme and still broke it off in your arse.

Not sure that I agree. I don't care how many injuries we had or who was our Quarterback, there's no excuse for the Georgia Southern game. NONE. Go back and watch Muschamp's post game interview, he basically says that the triple option removes talent from the game and so we didn't technically have more talent than them. Can Muschamp be a great coach? I don't know, but I have almost 0 confidence in an Auburn like turnaround for next year.

While I pretty much agree... why are these definite losses?

That's great but y'all still won't make a bowl or beat USC.
