Franklin wins the games he's supposed to win and loses whenever he plays a team with a similar or greater level of talent. Still living off a fluke win over Ohio State from 9 years ago.

Uh, fraid not.... If they didn't play in the weak Little 10 you might could make this boast. Smith is probably the best WR but in the 4 games Ohio st played in the playoffs/NC game, Downs had a whopping 1 int combined against top competition.

You still mad you took Alabama’s coach that recruited downs just for him to go to Ohio State?

You and I have been on this board a long time. Never post again a question like this about Bama. These jackals are so jealous of Bama’s success.

Preseason is for the. chest pumpers. Texas has always been full of chest pumpers. Georgia fans are slightly better than Texas fans because they have actually won something the last two decades. Ohio state deserves much respect because they have won multiple times over different years.
Oregon has a flashy owner, that’s it.

Again, never embarrass yourself again bro by asking such inferior opponents what you and I know.

What is that we know? We are the best fans in the sport and the greatest program in history.

Same reason bama was number 1 under Saban every year.

Respect. Ohio State and Georgia all have titles more recently than us. It is what it is

I would rather have good freshman over bad seniors. Obviously its not that simple but the kind of talent georgia, Bama, Ohio state, etc have replacing their lost starters is better than the returning players most other teams have coming back. Returning starters is a pretty overrated metric in college football, at least for the teams that recruit at a high level.

Did Downs win the Thorpe award last year? No. That was Jahdae Barron from Texas. Jahdae is in the league now, but at least for last season, Downs was not the best DB.

Was Jeremiah Smith the best freshman last season? No. That award went to Colin Simmons at Texas.

By the way, PFF has Colin Simmons as the best Edge in the nation this season.

Didn't PSU now have good DC? He was not the DC at PSU last year. That has up PSU chance to go farther in the playoffs this year. That is the reason why PSU is ranked so high this year.
The so called experts are high on Oklahoma Sooners because of new quarterback and the new OC.

It's a classic case of, what have you done for me lately, syndrome. It rears its inaccurate head about this time every season.
