Very little investment in staff. Everything is geared towards impressing recruits
Da fuk? Largest support staff in the SEC and both coordinators make 7 figures and we had the highest paid OL coach in the country when Pittman was here. You're completely clueless
quote:
Mel Tucker is a terrible head coach
Pittman is from the Jim Chaney Tree not Kirby
Shane Beamer is off his dads Tree
ALL coached on Kirby's staff and were excellent asst coaches. We're talking coaching staffs and this staff alone was better than anything UT put together under Jones,Dooley or Pruitt...not even up for debate.
quote:
means it’s individual effort not team or scheme with UGA.
The entire defense is predicated on team and scheme with multiple players rotating including 5 star recruits. Once again, completely clueless
quote:
Bama the expectation is you play when you are ready and Bame routinely has the staff to get you ready
Bama routinely starts and plays highly recruited freshman.Every player has to earn their position as does Kirby.
BTW,who on here is comparing Kirby to the greatest coach in CFB history? I thought we were comparing to UT's staff the last 25 years?
quote:
UGA the expectation is start as a freshman or SO and leave by your JR year unless you need to rehab an injury.
Cook,Zeus,Devonta Wyatt and Jordan Davis all came back for the 4 th year and Chubb,Sony,Lorenzo Carter and Dominick Sanders,to name a few came back in '17
UGA and Bama recruit almost the exact same guys. Are you saying they suddenly change or have different goals when they get to UGA?
GTFO!

Kirby would definitely lose in the BIG12 as those teams play offense. Kirby is just beginning to figure out defense does not win games it only helps. Offense today wins games
Perfect logic. Which explains why Kirby beat the best offensive mind the BIG 12 has to offer and beat his best offensive team.
Yep. Make perfect sense. Wasn't that team the BIG 12 champion, too?
Perfect sense. You Longhorn fans have an uncanny sense for the obvious.

Everything is in place for Georgia to win the SEC and probably the NC this year. Good QB, nice offensive weapons, and the defense is always great. Bama and Florida are reloading, and honestly no other team can match them talent-wise.
If Georgia can't get it done this year, they never will. So yea, I think this is a do-or-die year for Kirby Smart, and in that case, I'd let him rather than sink more time and money into him.

Of course you are a fan of old retreads as assistants.

I always laugh when my fellow UGA fans try to claim Pittman as a Kirby disciple.
He coached at 10 other schools for 25 years before arriving in Athens. Somehow it was Kirby's magical tutelage that made him into a head coach.
Pittman taught Kirby more of the game than the other way around. Kirby was a babe in the woods, which is why he surrounded himself with seasoned assistant coaches in the beginning.
I'll give him Tucker and Lanning, if he ever scores a job.

I think the Dawgs are gonna be alright. We will be in the hunt for the crystal.

I think he’s winning enough for awhile at 9-3.
Seat will get hot at 7-5 or so.

Let’s put it another way: Pittman wouldn’t be the head coach of ark if Kirby didn’t mentor him so very well.

9-3?
2017 11-1 regular season
2018 11-1 regular season
2019 11-1 regular season
2020 8-2 regular season

Somebody asked if he lost 3 games would the seat get hot.
Maybe I could have worded It better.
He’s not getting fired for 9-3.

Dude we scored 44 pts on you. Gtfo with your anemic offense BS excuse. Y’all couldn’t stop a basic wheel route. Florida took their foot off the gas too in the 4thQ so even if your offense could score, who says you stop UF from scoring 60?

Did you see the scores of the games you lost? A strong offense usually beat Florida last year.

The Pitboss was coaching football while Kirby was still shitting green in diapers.

Pitts getting lit up was lethal
Florida would’ve put up 60 if Pitts didn’t get concussed.
But I bet you were one of the dudes on here cheering when Pitts went down.
