I grew up an Auburn fan and attended there but transferred early (didn't complete my freshman year). My alma mater has a good football team...I could not care less about them. I think you tend to stick with your original favorite.

Unless the whole part about working with ABC sports as a child was completely manufactured it sounds like the guy was an avid sports fan with an interest in journalism in his childhood

That's a pretty rational explanation for why a guy would choose to leave Alabama and pick MU. MU has a very good journalism school (one of the better in the country)... but so far as I know nothing special in the terms of their business school

But I assume you're really arguing this point because you are inferring something else on this thread that I'm not really implying... so whatever that is just go ahead and assume I'm not

Exhibit A: Aman

There are some cool people on this board you can go back and forth with. However, there is a large contingent of ATPBers and ITATers that can't be reasoned with. Then there are m2pro's and Alahunters that will argue with you just to argue (whether they believe it or not).

I can relate to Cam...was not grown up enough for it but grew up in a hurry after leaving and entering the workforce w/o a degree. Straight A's first quarter...then lost interest. I didn't actually go back to school for a couple of years.

Ok, didn't read the whole thread so I don't know if this has been pointed out:

-Sold concessions at Legion Field during Bama games

Where in the story does it say that he sold them only at Bama games? Alabama was not the only team to play at Legion Field

Plus that doesn't really prove anything. I know a guy I went to high school with that sold concessions at Bryant Denny as a kid, but went to school at Mississippi State. He's far from a Bama fan.

It was a fairly biased documentary from what I've heard. Alabama wasn't really represented at all

I don't argue just to argue. I only speak up when I feel it's my duty to hold up a mirror. ;)

so, i believe what i say. i may not always word it correctly, but sometimes the CFB's out there make me process on retard mode.

since bama / bama fans have been through it with the whole NCAA stuff and sanctions, probations, and bowl bans and such, i would be remiss in my duty as an Alabama fan to NOT hold up a mirror when a boog has their heads in the ground. ;)

Did the great Bo Jackson sell refreshments at Legion Field, where Bama played half their games????

IIRC, Bo didn't grow up an Aub......

So if a person doesn't go to UA they can't be a fan of the program? Wouldn't that eliminate 99% of Bama's entire fanbase.

I grew up less than 45 mins away from AU, I've never stepped foot in an AU classroom because UAB offered my major. Does that mean I'm not an Auburn fan? hell no.

Bottom line is this, HBO Sports have been criticized for 'shady journalism' by journalists who have no affiliation with AU on this story.

McClover made a specific allegation that his HS coach was present at the time he got his backpack full of money, HBO asked the coach and he flat out denied it. That part was never mentioned in the documentary and was conviently left out.

The fact that the executive producer grew up in Bham during Bear's prime, sold concessions in Bear's stadium, leads one to believe that he just might be a Bammer.

That is noteworthy...

That woud eliminate about 90% of most fanbases. Including auburns

99% is stretching it

I agree, 99% is stretching it, and every fanbase has a lot of fans who never went to the school, including myself.

My point is, just b/c he went to Mizzou doesn't mean he isn't a fan of Bama

Yeah but just because he grew up in Birmingham and sold stuff at Legion Field doesn't mean he IS a Bama fan either

True, but if i had to bet my mortgage on what team he pulled for growing up, I'll put my money on Bama.

Here we go again with another round of "I bet he was this or that" or "I bet he did this"...same old shite. First aubies get mad at bama fans for betting something happened to Cam and company, but then it's cool they start betting on what happened to some goofball making HBO flicks to bash bama...at least we know the world is still turning
