I remember thinking UT fans were just pissed Chavis had left and invented 3rd and Chavis. After a few years I knew what they meant. Just wait for a big game.

op, do you even know what 3rd and Chavis means?

quote:

3rd and Chavis comes into play when his team is up one score late in the 4th and he goes into prevent defense giving up every 3rd down letting the opponent march down the field, not his team's 3rd down conversion % during games when he's up by thirty in the second quarter.

You mean like when you came within a delay of game penalty of blowing that lead to MSU a few weeks ago? Was Chief in the box for that one?

Like I told my LSU Cousin....

If we lose on a last minute drive 21-17 , 17-14 etc (Like LSU always did), then I won't be mad AT ALL at Chavis, I'll be pissed our Offense was so shitty they couldn't score over 20 points... That's pathetic.

Now, if we lose 31-28, or 35-31 etc, then I'll be pissed at the defense.

Ya'll really should of just named him "Can't stop Bama on game winning drives, but the offense was pathetic and couldn't score over 14 points so we put him in this position time and time again" Chavis.

When you say third down defense, are we talking 3rd down conversion %? If so I think you are selling us short. Link I found has us #1 in the SEC and #8 nationally.

So we're #1 in 3rd down defense in the sec?

I like it! I like it a lot!

Thanks for clearing that up for me

Anything for you, OS.

Lets also give credit to Steele. He's not far behind Chavis.

And lets all laugh at Muschamp. He's ranked 113th in the nation and allows 51.85% of 3rd down conversions.

We considered that name but, it's too long.

His entire "series's" sole purpose it to make fun of how perpetually wrong LSU Ranters are. He doesn't give a shite about 3rd and chavis - he thinks it's funny, as we all do, how you all have failed time and time again and moved goalpost after goalpost to keep your perceived high ground against a fanbase that doesn't want you as their rival.

1. LSU fans didn't start 3rd and Chavis
2. A&M fans clearly want LSU as a rival, at least the ones who post here. It's almost pathetic at this point

At least Mississippi State has actually beaten us once in the last 16 years. Can't say that for A&M.

Would have to look again to see what D we were in on the last drive... but sure, you could say that we almost "pulled a Chavis" there
