Exactly how many Bama players have jumped into the transfer portal after DeBoer announced?

I’ve heard as many as 25. But some say it’s not that many. I know it’s a substantial number because one Bama fan went so far as to worry if they’d be able to field two squads for A-Day. So what’s the actual number?

The REC media will keep a lid on it as long as they can to try and settle down the gumps, until they can unload the bank to try and save what they can.

Interested in the facts here as well. New coach took a team of “lesser” talent to the Ship but those kids went to Bama to play for tGOAT.

It is odd that I keep seeing individual reports of this or that player entering the portal but bo overall reports in the media about how many players are going into the portal. It’s pretty standard SOP anytime a school loses its coach to hear about how many players are leaving as a result. The media silence on this reminds me of how the media ignores any negative story about the Democrats.

I've only heard of one: Ricks. Bond jumped in before the announcement. Everyone else was depth that was unlikely to start next year from after the Rose Bowl up to the retirement announcement. ~15 total scholarship guys, maybe? Alabama was over-committed on scholarships and playing in the portal themselves, so somebody was going to leave.

Losing Bond would hurt but he hasn't declared with anyone yet, so that may not be a loss yet. Alabama just immensely upgraded their offensive coaching situation from the Rees OC / Wiggins WRC situation.

I mean, Bond is the only starter in the portal. So, yeah, the transfers since the bowl game were mostly folks looking to breakthrough somewhere else because they weren't going to play here.

If you're not a dumbass and you know how to use Google, you can find the list.

Besides Bond, I've never heard of a single one of these kids.

They were gonna transfer anyways and now a lot of them know they will not get any playing time with the new coach coming in. Including Bond.

I do hope these boys land on their feet though.

Keep trying to cope with this new coach coming in, SEC mid-tiers. Thoughts and prayers.

All of them, we will have to essentially go through a death penalty stage. I'm not sure the program will ever recover.

There are 23 in the portal but 20 were in the portal before Saban retired so that was happening anyway so no big losses......three more entered the portal after Nick announced.....two no-names and Bond which is a big one. Bond was the receiver on 4 & 31.

You remember 4th & 31 don't you Darth?

Making room for the 21 5-star transfers DeBoer already has locked up no doubt.

Nope, Hot Rod, that's fact. Which means you're delusional

All kidding aside, you guys may get one year of relief but after that, the dark ages for the rest of the SEC will resume.

Besides, I seriously doubt the Corndogs will get back to losing less than 3 a season.
