We went back to zone coverage. Lol basically a shell defense to prevent the touchdown.
Are you debating that we changed the coverage with 1:26 left in the half?
I didn't say you didn't change defenses. I said you are using the term "prevent defense" very loosely. Soft zone=/= prevent defense.

You saw the defender with the PBU on the INT, correct? Why not serious?
You act as if UGA disguised a coverage and baited Daniels into a bad throw. It was actually a good throw into tight coverage that resulted in a very fortunate (for UGA) bounce off of a helmet.

You brought up the first snap of the game.
Yes. Because LSU telegraphs their defense because of personnel.
Look at any post game a&m film review and any pregame UGA film reviews. I promise you that Purdue will notice. If the issue at LSU is depth, then I'm sure Bryan Kelly won't change anything though. Just coach the players up better with the 15 practices and pray for a better first half.
Instead of looking at what is going on with each play, you are looking only at the result of the play. If that is how you watch football, good for you. I'm sure you are passionate fan for LSU.
The flaw with LSU was present on the first snap of the game against UGA. It was present against Bama. Present against A&M.
If the result of the snap makes you feel that I am factually wrong, nothing I say will change your mind. You be you.
I havent taken anything personally. I've been explicit that you aren't a knowledgeable fan. I don't think that is a personal affront to me, although it kind of makes it personal to you.
If you have any more "facts" that you disagree with, I'm always ready to learn. I do learn on these boards. Probably not from a poster like you, though.
Cheers

If LSU for instance was actually undergoing this "complete rebuild" they've lied to themselves about, then the A&M loss would be forgivable. The fact of the matter though, is this fanbase crowed throughout the entire off season about how they had the 8th ranked roster in the country and how a coach of Kelly's "stature" would maximize it.
Didn't need to read anymore. You told us right here you don't know what you're talking about.

Why are you so angry?
Did UGA go three and out on their first drive? Why did my pointing that out, set you off like this? It’s rather strange.

Brian Kelly is easily a Top10 coach in CFB. Everyone that is college football savvy knows this.
Will he win a national title at LSU?… maybe, maybe not, lots of variables come into play there.
Well he's a top ten Notre Dame or group of five coach.

Lol. No. Did I say that? Even imply it?
We pressured daniels with a nickel blitz. It was a great call because LSU had a playfake (which can be a death sentence against an unblocked defender).
Daniels forced the hot throw high and wide and the safety had a great shot at the ball with two hands. The two hands bounced the ball up, and the rest of the play included luck.
But the blitz call, the safety taking inside leverage, and the poor throw all led to the "luck" with the INT. The bounce was fortunate, but good luck follows a good team who stresses the offense.

We weren't defending a hail Mary. We were defending the deep shots. And yes, prevent is a very soft zone designed to keep everything underneath, bleed clock, and force the offense to earn the yards snap by snap.
Where are we miscommunicating?
