Based on that scenario they would probably go to sugar bowl. Getting by mizzou and sc probably gives them an undefeated regular season. And I'm guessing the winner if the sec championship will go to national championship game

1. Bama (interchangeable with LSU but tiny edge given for knowing AJ, and not knowing Mett)
2. LSU (see above)
3. UGA (will curb stomp East and walk into Atlanta)
4. Arky (probably too high but if not them, who?)
5. South Carolina (sick D, assuming decent play from whatshisface, Latt back)
6. Florida-seriously talented across the board...still young though and lots of unknowns
7. Auburn-see UF above
8. Tenn-improving D, crappy OL but some improvement since they are returning everyone, Bray to Hunter=deadly
9. Texas A&M-3rd best OL in the SEC, don't know much else but that alone is going to get some wins
10. Vandy-top 3 RB in the league...very well coached...more talented across the board than they've been in years...more disciplined play from Rogers and he could be something really special
11. Missouri-sick talent at several skill positions...don't know much other than the fact that they'll be better than Mississippi State
12. Mississippi State-solid D, great corners, will get pushed around a bit with the front 7...no RB, although LP is fast, and a quarterback that has never shown an ability to beat anyone whose stadium seats more than 8,000 people...some pretty good wideouts. Until they show that they aren't Mississippi State, I'm going to assume that they are
13. UK-sucks
14. Ole Miss-sucks more. Jeff Scott lone bright spot

Missouri returns their entire staff

I think it's safe to say, going by staff:

Kevin Sumlin >>>>>>>>>>>>> Mike Sherman

Kliff Kingsbury > Mike Sherman trying to be coach and OC and Tom Rossley coaching only QBs

Clarence McKinney < Randy Jordan (?)

Dave Beatty > Troy Walters

Brian Polian >>>>>>>>>> Nick Toth (?), No TE Coach

B.J. Anderson << Jim Turner

Mark Snyder >>>>>>>>>>> Tim _eRuyter

Matt Wallerstedt > Nick Toth and Dat Nguyen

Terry Price = Terrell Williams

Marcel Yates >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Charles McMillan (by far the worst coach on the staffs of both Franchione and Sherman...why the frick Sherman retained him is beyond me...his secondaries sucked arse every year!)

and finally,

Larry Jackson > (times infinity) than any S&C Coach we have had since the Slocum days (he PLAYED under Slocum as a defensive player).

ESPN talking heads are rank, that's for sure. I remember their guy in the elevator at the baseball winter meetings, telling us that Pujols was at that moment in a hotel room re-signing with the Cardinals. Right. And the so-called power rankings are a joke, as shown by the fact that they're always changing. Just play the games, chug some brews, and enjoy the excitement!

Missouri, who lost 3 offensive linemen for the season already and has a QB coming off of shoulder surgery, is two slots higher than A&M, who basically returns their entire O-Line and 5 of their front 7.

Dude, we have beaten you the past 2 years on the road. Are we really debating at this point which team is better?

Missouri > A&M

Plus Mizzou is in the weaker East

The Rig, where do you think Auburn should be in this list?

Feel freeto just call me "Rig".

And I'd say anywhere from 6-9 is reasonable. I'm clearly an opponent of any type of power ranking but if you force me to choose I'd say 6-7 is about where we belong.

Although I take into account what happened last year, the amount of talent we are returning, and the fact that history often repeats itself as an argument for my position.

Not for the 2010 squad.

For the 2011 squad, if Pinkel was coaching A&M and Sherman Missouri, A&M wins by 4+ TD.

That list, and Aschoff for that matter, is fricking horrible. And it's not even the AU ranking that has me the most puzzled. Arkansas at #3 above UGA and USCe after losing Petrino and those WRs? Please...

Why is everybody so high on USCe? This seems about right

Very good D...best running back in the league is back and apparently looks great...QB that seems pretty decent with plenty of experience, excellent coaching...not much attrition. Lots to like about them...

ery good D...

They just lost 2 first round draft picks

They have 2 Stud DE's I'll admit

They have a converted saftey playing LB and he got toasted more than Neiko Thorpe.

They are weak in the secondary

They lost their DC

They have a "meh" line

No WR's to speakof

A RB coming on an ACL

A QB not in the top half of the league and has played 1 year.

No..you're reading headlines too

I see it was Edward "tenuous grasp of English language" Ashcoff. Even better.
