Agree, but purely the offensive line. Honestly, they and Alabama are probably 1A and 1B. Most experience + talent in the league.
It'll really boil down to Harris'improvement. They have the skill players to be very dangerous. But he'll have to be able to throw down field to keep secondaries honest. They do that, and they'll be contenders.

Yeah I think I would put us around 5th or 6th to start. I think we will absolutely be near the top by season's end.

Jim Turner alone should make us top half (Sherman's OL coach)

Really? I mean the lineup is looking way better than I thought it would, but seems odd.

Really is a down year for SEC offensive lines. Or, at least, there are a lot of questions to be answered across the league. Alabama and LSU probably have the least amount of them.

I would understand if AU was ranked even lower at this point, but we have enough talent that we could finish even higher

Not so sure about this one.

I agree. That OL is average at absolute best.

Alabamans oline gave up more tackles for a loss than anyone in the SEC last year. I'd give LSU number 1 and Bama 2.

that ranking is based purely on Bielema's history with good lines. No one who watched the spring game would think they were the 5th best offensive line.

I'm not saying we should be 5th but did you watch some of the other spring games? There were some pretty average to terrible OL's on display. I'm willing to take my chances with Bielema and his system over some others.

Talent wise, probably. But they really need a more creative offense. Their predictability is a liability.

Arky's DL pushed them around last season

The backs are great. But bad play calling allowed Bama to shut down LF. Talent is worthless if the defense knows what coming. Without the threat of a passing game, elite teams will beat LSU.

We have 2 all-SEC caliber guys returning, but the other 3 spots are going to be new starters, one of whom was a Dlineman.
