Why are you so outraged by this? Who cares?

It'll be cool to see and it will likely be a one time thing, unless it goes really well.

I feel like the people upset about this are the same people who shout "who cares bout gameday anymore"

If you ever catch me in NYC, please check my pulse and call the ambulance or morgue ASAP based on your results.

Thanks in advance.

Which is total bull shite.

New York is a pro town. You have more college football fans in Scratch Ankle, Alabama (yes, it's a real place) than you do in New York City.

Haven't spent much time in NY huh?

I think it's cool for a one time thing and Iirc they have a ESPN zone or whatever in Times square so I doubt "crowd" is going to be lacking.

Don't really see what all the outrage is about. Seems like a cool idea for a stake show.

And for all of the no one in NYC likes CFB I know LSU has a huge alumni club that watches the games at Legends I believe.

Neither have you if you think it's a college town.

Giants, Jets, Yankees, Mets, Knicks, Rangers, and Islanders.

College football? What's that?

I mean you'd think they announced that it was going to move to Time Square permanently from the outrage

Pretty sure South Carolina has one too.

Everybody saying "NYC isn't a college town"

No shite. But there are plenty of college football fans there

"New York is the melting pot of college football." SAY WHAT?

I would agree with this statement.

Do you know how many young college graduates from every single SEC school move to NYC every year? Most every team has their own bar where they join to watch the games. It's not out of the norm to have 100 or alumni get together to watch a big game. And you could say this for most any of the bigger name football programs.

Yep Carolina's is the Mason Jar. Legends sounds like a strip club so LSU may be one upping us in this regard.

They obviously think that New York only consists of liberal Ivy League grads and blue collar union workers

agreed. I would go so far as to say that if your university doesn't have a fan club there of pretty significant size that the value of your degree is sliding

I get it.

But I also try and avoid TS whenever I'm in NYC.

Target rich environment, plus it just sucks.
